Desi Sweets offers a mixed experience for those seeking Indian snacks. While I haven't sampled their Indian sweets yet, the samosas, while decent, don't quite stand out among other options in the area. However, the real gem of the menu is the pakoras. They're absolutely delightful, served fresh and hot, reminiscent of homemade goodness. For this reason alone, a visit is worthwhile. As for service, it's adequate but nothing remarkable. The small size of the venue means it can quickly become crowded, particularly during peak hours and busy festival days. Expect to queue outside, possibly even in the rain. Despite these drawbacks, if you're a fan of pakoras, Desi Sweets is worth a visit. Finally it’s worth mentioning that it’s completely vegetarian.

The Desi Sweets Shop is nice. You can see yummy sweets and djshes when you walk in. The food here is just like what you'd find back home. They make samosas that are crispy and biscuits that are so tasty. Their saag and local dishes are also really good and remind you of home-cooked meals. After they fixed up the place, it looks even nicer. But since they changed things, the amount of food you get seems a bit less. Overall, a good place for a happy tummy and a smile on your face.

I love desi sweets, it’s the Indian sweet shop where I always go whether I want samosas, spring rolls or any of the sweets such as Barfi, laddos, besan. They have it all. There’s also cakes and milkshakes and a section for daily food such as ready made Currys to take out. The food quality is first class and I’ve been coming here since years and never had a problem. The staff is super friendly and the hospitality is first class! Definitely recommended!!

Absolute RIP OFF...1st time I went in with a big order Thot she could charge me extra but I was watching the greedy women puch them numbers in to her till. So if u do use this shop ask for a receipt. 2nd time ordered a basket of mithai for a baby shower 2wks in advance. I pacifically asked for laddo amongst other sweets (as needed for shagan) At time of collection heard how it took a lot of effort for her to make this probably Because she was charging over the odds.... Laddo wer not in view so I asked her if she put them in .. She promised me they were..explaining I was taking this basket to Wales its important I have the laddo .. She reassured me. Got to Wales and its time for the shagun .. I was digging tru this basket like a mad person looking for the damn laddo not to be seen.. Absolute embarrassment Red face in a crowd of women waiting for freaking laddo.. You could probably understand my frustration this sly women had the cheek to lie to me in her shop but was ok to grab the money off me. There will not be a 3rd time staying away from this place unable to complete a simple order waste of time to busy on the phone gossiping most...

Nice and clean. Although...the woman is very very rude. Ordered 50 somasas and 50 spring rolls..on a wedeneday to be collected on Saturday. She phones me up the next day to say they are ready. She does not listen. On Friday I popped in to pay. She gave me a very different price for the spring rolls , to when I first placed order. Anyway on the same day I managed to source the spring rollls very much cheaper. I called her to say only somsas are now required .(more than 24 hrs to my collection time ). Was very rude and said ...do you want them or not. I said yes somsas only. She slammed the phone down. On collection I decided to purchase some indian sweets. No please or thankyou . Snatched cash out of my hand . No such thing as customer...
