I tried this place for the first time today, and from start to finish, it was nothing short of outstanding! Right from the beginning, Lucy, the customer service assistant who took my call, made a fantastic impression. I called ahead to confirm my order details, and Lucy was incredibly kind and attentive, making sure everything was correct and putting any concerns I had to rest. She was genuinely pleasant, efficient, and went above and beyond to make me feel like a valued customer, which made the experience all the more enjoyable.
For my meal, I ordered the Wagyu Smash Burger, yakisoba chicken noodles with extra spice and prawns, fried chili chicken, and fries. As an added treat, they even included a complimentary katsu curry sauce, which was such a thoughtful touch! When the food arrived, it was perfectly on time and piping hot clearly handled with care every step of the way.
As for the food itself, it was absolutely delicious! The Wagyu Smash Burger was juicy, with a perfectly seared patty that brought out the rich, melt in your mouth flavor of the wagyu. The buns were soft and fresh, pairing wonderfully with the tender, flavorful meat. The yakisoba chicken noodles, which I’d asked to be extra spicy with prawns, were exceptional perfectly seasoned with a balance of spice and savoriness that made each bite a delight. The prawns were plump and fresh, and the noodles had that perfect springy texture. The fried chili chicken had a great crunch on the outside while staying tender inside, with just the right amount of heat, making it one of the highlights of the meal. Even the fries were seasoned just right, crisp on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. The katsu curry sauce was a brilliant addition; its mild spice and creamy texture made it the perfect dip for everything!
Lucy’s dedication didn’t end with the order. She even followed up afterward to check in on us, showing a level of care and professionalism that really stood out. It’s clear she’s passionate about providing top notch service, and it makes a big difference. Her attention to detail, friendliness, and willingness to go the extra mile truly elevated the experience, and I am beyond grateful for her help.
If you’re thinking of trying this place, I highly recommend asking for Lucy when you call or visit, she’ll make sure your experience is just as enjoyable as mine was. Between her exceptional customer service and the delicious food, it’s a solid 10/10 for me. I can’t wait to order again and see what other amazing flavors this place has to offer. Thank you, Lucy, and thank you to the team for a wonderful first experience. I’ll...
Read moreWe have ordered some sushi on Saturday and Im gutted to say it wasnt the best experience :( You can see the mechanism of restaurant chain behind it. Small portions, minimum fish, no spices or weak miso. We had similair experience with Wolverhampton branch. Although it was tasty - please be mindful that you dont get the quality for the price. Nigiri are the size of a thumb unfortunately and the rice was squeezed and moulded too hard forming bullets rather than a sushi. Its a good job I had some spring onion and miso paste at home so we could actually add some flavour into it. No shitake mushrooms, hardly any tofu and it was so weak we actually couldnt taste it. I will most definitely not order it again :( Sorry guys.
The chicken gyoza was absolutely amazing though, full of flavour, slightly crunchy..yummy. But I dont think sushi in general is their strong selling point.
Maki were ok but in different sizes and not filled with fish evenly.
I have been making sushi for years now, and Ive had it million times and this experience was just a one off for me im affraid :(
The service was great. Lovely and chatty girl.
From the responses to reviews here on google, Ive gathered, that instead of taking time to respond individually to each review, there is an automated answer to all of us which doesnt give me much faith that they have customer focus approach.
Anyway good luck guys! In Walsall is rather unusal to see something veggie or not...
Read moreI’ve been ordering from here since it first opened and always loved the food. It was consistently delicious, and I could always count on it for a satisfying meal.
Unfortunately, over the past year, the quality has noticeably declined. Each time I order, I hope it’s just a one-off issue — but I keep ending up disappointed.
I ordered again yesterday after a few months break, and sadly, it will be my last time. The katsu curry sauce was so watery that by the time it arrived, the rice had completely absorbed it. Even the extra portion I ordered, which came in a separate pot, was just as thin — more like a drink than a rich, flavorful curry sauce.
The food simply isn’t what it used to be. The gyozas are smaller and fewer, and the bao buns arrive soggy every time.
I really hope the restaurant can revisit its original recipes and bring back the quality and taste that made it so special when it...
