Update (5 Stars):
Went again recently as mentioned in original review below and it was a much better experience. Food was great and service was great. Prices are still on the higher end for a brunch place compared to some other competitors but that shouldn't detract from the good food.
Original Review (3 Stars):
High potential but leaves much to be desired.
Went to Boston Tea Party after hearing really positive reviews of the Stratford branch. It is clear they have high potential but our experience was sadly substandard. We have another visit planned which we'll keep - I'll update this review if the experience is significantly different. Hopefully just teething problems. When we mentioned our experience, the staff were kind enough to offer partial discounts and freebies - we didn't accept them but the gesture was nice!
Food: The food was generally quite tasty. Definitely nice brunch food, and quite a lot of options for all palates. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting half an hour for our order to arrive and when it did one order was wrong and the other plate arrive lukewarm (suggesting the food had been left on the side and forgotten about for 10 minutes).
Drinks: For a place called Boston Tea Party, the tea was one of the more disappointing factors of the day. Even after letting it brew for quite a while, the tea tasted quite weak - it was nice that they used loose leaf tea but seemed that there wasn't a sufficient amount of tea leaves (or the water wasn't hot enough for an appropriate brew).
Value for Money: Prices are on the higher end though not unexpected for Leamington. Had the food arrived quicker, hotter, and correct, you could possibly justify the price.
Atmosphere: The atmosphere is really nice. They've done up the place so that it feels light and airy creating a perfect brunch setting. And all the plants and little touches really help create a...
Read moreI attended one of the dry runs with some family friends… and what an incredible afternoon we had. We were greeted at the door by a lovely lady who shown us to our seats and presented us with complimentary Prosecco. We then we’re told we were able to order easily via there app or at the counter. We proceeded to order our food, I myself order the dark chocolate milkshake and a classic burger! The service was efficient and fast and as a large table of 5 plus 2 children, the food soon arrived.
My burger was juicy and massive, my favourite part of it was the pickle on the burger, very tasty! The fries that came with the burger were very well seasoned, and tasty! One of my friends had the boss breakfast, and we couldn’t quite believe the size of it. Was massive. All of our party was very impressed by our food and drinks. Upon leaving we were all kindly gifted one of there eco, non single use cups. Looking forward to visiting again, and cannot wait to try the boss breakfast myself.
All the staff were very lovely, and helpful and couldn’t do enough. Dirty plates and cups were removed fast and efficiently, and they should all be very proud of the new business venture they...
Read moreFirst of all I know a lot of places have started doing this but when I go somewhere to eat I would like a bit of service that's the whole point of actually going out to eat so having to order through an app is a No especially considering the prices they charge, I ordered the boss breakfast without mushrooms and beans and I would like to have asked one of the waitresses to If I Could exchange it for another item, when the food arrived it it was fine but the menu would have you believe it is amazing with all the fancy words they use, there are a couple of things I didn't like, the hash browns which tasted just like lumps of potato, the sausage was very nice but considering how tiny they are I would have liked another, the bacon was very nice the Toast was very dry not enough butter, on the table where I was sitting needed more sugar, overall it was ok but paying a premium for a basic service you might as well stay at...
