Food great but the service to day really awful. They weren't even very busy. We went in and there appeared to be 2 members of staff, a young woman called Hannah and a young man whose name I do not know. We ordered 2 steaks, a Mac Cheese, a pint of lager, G&T and rum and coke. we'd long finished the drinks by the time the young man tried to serve it to the next table. Then we had to wait for cutlery so sat eating chips with our fingers. After we'd finished my son went and got us more drinks and a slice of cheese cake was ordered for me. Then the waiting really began. Finished our drink and then sat watching Hannah twiddle her fingers at the bar. After a bit the people at the next table left. then a few more people started coming in. Waited and new people sat at the next table....still waiting for one slice of cheese cake. Then the next table were served with four lots of burger and chips. At which point I was quite angry so I got up and tapped the young man on the should and asked where my cheese cake was as it had been ordered some time before the people not eating had even came in......He said he'd go and look, he comes back with my cheese cake saying he'd found it in the bottom of th lift. He then looks and says do you need a spoon......as if he expected me to eat it with my fingers!!!!!! Barely a sorry and the cheese cake was almost warm, it must have been in the lift for between 20 and 30...

Took the kids out for a day and decided to stop for dinner on the way home. Not knowing the area we googled for a green king as we usually like those places. Wife phoned ahead to check for a table and they said yes. Got there at 6pm and only about 6 others in there, so got a table and ordered.

Several more customers came in, about another 8 or so and the music was cranked right up and we realised that we were sitting under a speaker. We had to shout at each other but still couldn't here each other and waited 55 minutes for our food, although no one else was ordering food at all.

When it arrived we were shocked, chicken nuggets were solid and completely cold. BBQ chicken was so solid it made a clonking noise on the plate. Fish was so over cooked it was crispy under the batter, mushy peas had a crust on top, which had to be cut to get to the peas and the mac and 3 cheese had about 80% cheese and 20% pasta, also solid skin on top.

On a guess I would say it was all cooked when we got there but got forgotten about and was then reheated in a microwave when they realised.

Never had a bad experience in a green king before and that is why we usually hunt one out when we don't know the area. Will now be looking to find a new chain to use and that was the worst...

Me and my husband have been there whenever we go to Leamington. I do enjoy small plates, drinks and the atmosphere. The last visit was on October 2nd which was the worst experience we had. We paid by debit card and it went successfully. But there's an error on their till that a staff believed it wasn't paid successfully as the screen was frozen.

Even, we insisted that the money was out of my husband's account as he showed the transaction to the staffs. Unfortunately, they didn't have a good look or tried to check at the process carefully.

3 staffs kept coming to the table and asked for the 2nd payment as they believed the 1st payment was not successful. Thus, we got no choice but to pay for the peace.

The staff believed if there's any duplicated payment, it will be refunded immediately which it was not. The next day i gave them the call to confirm there were 2 transactions.

I had to call to their guest relation team. It took 8 days for them to investigate and did the refund and never received any call back from them, even they did say they will do.

We are disappointed to what happened. Poor systems...

Wow… this was a lovely find!!! My wife and I went to Leamington for the afternoon to do a bit of shopping and was trying to find somewhere for lunch. Tried a few places but ended up at the Copper Pot. This was such a lovely pub. The football was on but was actually had a really nice atmosphere. The service was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Then the food came, which took us by surprise. We had the sharing plates and everything was amazing, but especially the Karaage Sticky Chicken… I could eat these all the time… the portions were really good and the price was amazing for the food we got. I can’t recommend this place enough and we will be going back when we go back to Leamington!!!!

Not the most plesent of places. I asked if they do non dairy milk and they had a laugh behind the bar and said no, I should try "The Neighborhood" over the street. Unfortunately I was meeting people already there or I would of. They did help me by showing the menu options for non gluten containing items, which was appreciated. However the food was extremely disappointing. I had the sweet potato bruschetta, it was cold and flavorless and I bloated up pretty quickly after eating it so I would aviod, especially if you're celiac. Also the toilets could do with a good clean, the sanitry bin was overflowing and the taps were grim.

Update: Staff sorted us out with 2 free drinks and a plate of wings (12), still not 2100k calories if you ask me and had to wait 50 mins for it. 6 chicken wings for £8.95 claim to be 2000 calories. This was supposed to be a sharer plate between 2. With 250g of butter being 1700 calories, this it a total scam. Definitely not what the menu promised. One redeeming factor is the staff agreed there, wouldn't go back because of the portion size.
