We stopped over at the Holiday Inn but went to drink at the Ale Rooms opposite, and although there's two Indians close by (Sunam and Le Raj) they recommended we pop further away to this place.

I'm glad they did. It was quite full when we entered and we had no reservation, but they took us upstairs and got us seated with beers and poppadums quite quickly - I'm guessing the upstairs is an overspill area, but the crowd downstairs shows that this was a popular place.

I opted for a Chilli & Lemon Chicken (number 47) not seeing the Razzella (75), thinking it a Chicken Lembu that I'd had before elsewhere. Although it had two chillies as a rating, I didn't find it over-spicy: the heat was just right and the citrus sourness brought another dimension to the meal.

I shared a Mustard & Chilli Rice (144) plus a nan with a friend, which was just right - but my main came with a side order of plain pilau anyway, which I donated to my two other diners.

Sadly, I didn't take any photos - we were hungry and the meal vanished...

I have to say, this is by far the best Indian Restaurant I have ever been to! I was flabbergasted with their service from start to finish. We arrived 25 minutes early to find our table was already made for us. We were expecting to have to wait for our table with us arriving so early as this is normally the case in most restaurants. We were seated and given menu's. We were offered drinks immediately, the table starters arrived promptly and so did the mains shortly afterwards. The staff were well presented, polite and attentive. As soon as our drinks were down to a quarter of a glass, we were offered another drink. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding from start to finish. If you really want to please somebody, I would highly suggest you bring them here. This Restaurant is better than Tumeric Gold in Coventry. I will definitely be returning. A wonderful experience...

Michael from huddersfield. Dear reader I dined at this restaurant this evening. From the first call to the establishment to the dining experience I have to say this place is perfect. I have never been so impressed. The menu is extensive the choices and the service are exceptional the wine list was excellent.I had the lamb taw it was simply the nicest thing I have ever eaten. Imrahn and Matt were both so helpful in assisting me to choose this dish. My wife also had the most delicious balti she had ever eaten. I loved the food , the service everything was simply perfect. We were so delighted to have dined here. Ps the staff are super friendly and helpful they have so much pride in their work it really is a fabulous dining experience I will be back Thank...

Great food and what service. Ali and Matt were excellent in serving us and made an effort to help my international guests who’d never had a curry in the UK. Why did I choose here? A local restauranteur friend recommended it, and trying to find an outstanding Indian restaurant in Birmingham easily on a Tuesday when your travelling with work is difficult. We had several dishes, the vindaloo was hot but tasty, as was the masala. My chicken Balti saag madras hot was excellent. Great wine and beer, lovely tables, and we had a booth that gave us lots of privacy. Faultless and can’t wait to return to such a great restaurant. Thank you.

This is a lovely place. deceptively large with three main seating areas (good for noise separation). Staff are friendly and attentive. The food is really nice with some rarely found items on the menu. Portions are a shade small (but hey, this is Kenilworth) and the food is glorious. I was here with a party from work, it's off the beaten path for me otherwise, but I wouldn't hesitate to return. Colleagues tell me this place has a good rep locally. It was fairly busy when we were there, but course timings were still very good. For me naans are the yardstick - and here they were soft, succulent and tasty.

I had a really, really nice meal here. The atmosphere was really nice with pleasant music and a nice number of other groups eating. The service was impeccable and they dealt with my allergies excellently. The waiter we spoke to knew exactly what would and wouldn't be an issue which was really nice, particularly as my allergies are less common. The food itself was lovely and priced very well (especially the kids' portions). I can't really recommend this restaurant highly enough!
