Our lovely daughter and her partner are moving to Leamington Spa! Thought we'd better check out the flat they'd selected and make sure it was top drawer enough for them (it was by the way). It was all very hunger-making! So decided to look for a light lunch and saw this place, with a menu situated within easy viewing distance. Perfecto!
We were shown to our table and given menus. The service was perfect - no pressure, no hurrying - honestly, it can be rare these days. We ordered a couple of dishes each from a lovely array - we could easily have eaten twice and not ordered the same thing and been perfectly happy.
Patatas bravas - an old fav - tick. Calamari - super. Lamb skewers - BIG TICKS; these were excellent. Mixed prawns, scallops and mussels - Amazing. Baked camembert - what can one say! Croquetas - divine.
Round of coffees anyone? Service was very good from all the staff - a special mention to Sudheer who served us some, tidied up our table at the end, talked with us, and manned the card machine.
I'm not usually one for tapas - my jaded view, developed at several other tapas bars I've been convinced to dine at, is that while the dishes are not expensive......there is a reason....you don't get but a mouthful and leave hungry or feeling robbed. Not so at Rustiq; the dishes were well proportioned; no word of a lie, a third dish each would have been a struggle. Highly...
Read moreWe had dinner here last night and it was let down by two things. The draft from the doors into the restaurant was terrible. All the tables in proximity to the doors looked like they were affected and I ended up having to borrow my friend’s scarf to keep warm! I was wearing jeans and a long sleeved top so not bad clothing choices! Sadly on top of this the service was pretty hit and miss. No one came to take a drinks order so we tried to ask one of the staff after we’d had the menus for ten minutes but he couldn’t take orders so sent someone else over eventually (lots of staff but most of them unable to take orders or deal with the bills!) After we managed to order drinks they then took ages to turn up. In fact the first dishes were served before the drinks arrived! We didn’t receive all the dishes we ordered, but they were still on the bill when we eventually got it and we ended up having to go to the bar to ask for it to be removed. Food was pretty good on the whole, the cheese croquette was very heavy on goats cheese which divided the table a bit but there are tapas places in Leamington with better ambiance and service for the price point. We spent £50 a head for...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Rustiq Restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming ambiance that set the tone for a memorable dining experience.
The menu is a delightful fusion of Mediterranean flavors, showcasing fresh and high-quality ingredients. I tried the lamb tagine, which was cooked to perfection, with tender meat and a rich, flavorful sauce. The appetizers were equally impressive, especially the hummus – so creamy and delicious!
The service deserves a special mention. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about ensuring every guest has a great experience.
The restaurant’s interior is both chic and cozy, making it a perfect spot for anything from a casual meal to a special celebration.
I highly recommend Rustiq for anyone looking to enjoy amazing food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. I'll definitely...
