Coming from a loyal customer... tonight, was a game changer.. we ordered a Thai curry and a steak (medium-rare)... the curry came out lovely and hot, the steak came out cold, it was sent back... the manger brought the freshly made steak out to my husband , and said it's been cooked medium to well done, so it won't be cold..... we got the bill maybe perhaps with a good will gesture, due to cold food, the second wait and lastly the steak not even cooked to his liking!!! but still ate it... As happy as we were to pay the bill, we spoke to the manger... I think her name was Nikki, this lady was not very approachable, she started shouting at us, and waving her arms around, bearing in mind the restaurant was quite busy!! NO PEOPLE SKILLS!!! At all!!! Very rude, and disappointing, she than kicked us, and threatened us with the police. This kind of behaviour from a 'manager' is very unacceptable. Thai kitchen has well and truly lost a customer!!!!!!! The good will gesture, would of been fine, but it's the principle of the matter. REALLY...
Read moreIt would have been 4 stars as the food and atmosphere were good but the customer service was really lacking. We were there as a group of 8 for a special occasion. When the starter order came out wrong, they were adamant that was what was ordered so I had it out of convenience. One of the mains was also wrong (a beef dish, noone at the table really eats beef so won't have ordered it) and this was taken back reluctantly with some muttered negative comments. When the bill came we had been charged a £1.50 supplement for prawns on the unordered starter. I didn't think this was fair, and when I questioned this I was treated quite rudely. We paid the 10% service charge that was added, but we then never had our extra change from the cash we paid with. I was too scared to ask for it back after the previous reactions. As one of our group said "I've never been in a restaurant before where I felt like a nuisance being there" Tasty food, but don't think I'd recommend. Make sure you double...
Read moreWalked here after finding out our booking for Thai Sarocha was for a restaurant that had closed down. Luckily they allowed walk in and was still early with a few diners. The wine was reasonably priced not an extensive list but the food is reason your here. We had a look at the menu and ended up settling for the set menu option B at £36.75 per person. The starters were a mix of prawns , fish cake, chicken wings and satay. The chicken wings were excellent. Mains duly followed with a selection of lamb massaman, pad Thai chicken which we asked for exchange instead of pad Thai prawn, stir fried chicken and beef in black pepper. Accompanied by a bowl of jasmine rice. I would say this is more than enough for 2 to share. Though a little more rice wouldn't go amiss. Culled with charming service this is highly...
