I am giving this review to warn every vegetarian, Muslim, vegan or any person with some dietary requirement to stay far away from this place.
Let me tell you about my experience so you can understand more. I've been a loyal customer of this place and it was always my selected place for breakfast or even lunch sometimes. Today, I decided to go to get my usual latte and decided to opt for the cheese omelette for the first time.
While waiting for my order I noticed that the person cooking was cooking my eggs at the same time as putting raw bacon next to them and he cooked everything together. When I told the person that I cannot eat ham as I am Muslim and not only that but it was unsafe and dangerous to mix cook food with raw food, the person at the till told me that everyone cooks omelette like that and If I wanted to go with him to do a tour within all the Watford restaurants to check that.
I told him well, NO I am working I came here to only get my food and go back to work and I was not interested at all to go to every restaurant because simply if they do that as well they were also WRONG!!.
I told him that I worked in restaurants before and the first thing you need to complete was health and safety courses which obviously is something that is lacking in this restaurant.
I asked for my money back and the guy was very rude and even got violent in his body language and way of speaking. He definitely needs holidays to get stress free and learn how to treat people!!!! I will NEVER go back there nor recommend anyone to go there as it is not safe at all and the staff treated me very rudely. Very unprofessional environment. PLEASE AVOID A...
Read moreI have been a frequent visitor to this cafe, but my most recent visit was disappointing. We arrived at approximately 15:00 and were welcomed by the staff, unaware that the cafe was scheduled to close at that time. We placed our order as usual, despite the mediocre quality of the food. However, the service we received was extremely poor and disrespectful. While we were still eating, the staff began rearranging the chairs around us, stopped the music, and started cleaning the floor. My family and I felt uncomfortable and rushed. At 15:20, the waiter approached us and asked us to pay. We respectfully explained that we were not aware of the closing time and that we would have appreciated being informed before placing our order, especially considering that my son is a slow eater. Additionally, we expressed our discomfort with the cleaning activities being carried out while we were still dining. The waiter became defensive and argumentative, insisting that he had not rearranged the chairs at our table. We attempted to explain that even if he had not directly rearranged our table, the act of rearranging chairs around us and cleaning the floor while we were eating was disrespectful. However, he continued to argue and became increasingly agitated, making us feel as though he was doing us a favor by allowing us to dine there. The food quality was also subpar, with the eggs not being up to their usual standard. We requested cutlery, and they provided only a single fork, they brought it on the hand ! not even wrapped in a tissue. The quality of the food and the service was extremely poor. I will not be returning to this...
Read moreAte here on a weekend break, so instead of going to a Chain like Wetherspoons we tried somewhere local. The food portions are generous and the food itself I'd give about 4 stars. Where this place stumbles on is the customer service. We ordered four meals and received the meals before the drinks, only when we asked about the drinks to be met with "they're coming" no apology, just two words. The waitress then came back with each drink one at a time but forgot about a mate's milkshake until she was asked again. Service is 1.5 stars Food is 4 stars. Working in the customer service sector, it plays a big part in what I expect from a customer facing...
