Finger Sandwich
(Choose from ham, cheese or egg-mayo) served with carrot, cucumber and houmous or crisps
Squash
(Apple & blackcurrant or orange)
Cinnamon Swirl
We love cinnamon buns, but they were always too small and never had enough icing. So, we started making our own on a sunday morning. We made them a little bit bigger, crammed with butter, cinnamon and brown sugar and the smell got everyone in to the kitchen asking if they were ready yet. That's where the warm icing comes in as they wouldn't wait for everything to cool down. The result being homemade, warm, iced cinnamon swirls and we are delighted to share this family favourite with you today.
Breakfast Cranachan
Hailing from scotland, cranachan is known as the undisputed king of scottish desserts, so why is it on our breakfast menu? Sweet scottish raspberries folded in to natural yoghurt and toasted scottish oats and drizzled in honey. See, swapping out whipped cream for yoghurt turns the king of desserts in to the king of breakfasts. You can add in a little nip of drambuie if you wish to, it's on us!
Toasted Crumpets
2 toasted crumpets served with either butter and jam or our homemade honey butter.

The first time we tried Hamilton's my experience started with smugness and very quickly shifted to devastaing regret. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich was incredible - the cheese was thoroughly melted and the bread was soft and crispy at the same time, however as soon as I took a bite of my partner's sultana scone I knew I had mad a tragic mistake. The scone was solid yet not brittle, and served as the base upon which the extremely smooth clotted cream could then carry forth the fragrant strawberry jam. Needless to say we were all back the next day to have more of this piece from heaven (where Steve also hilariously pointed out we were seated in the exact same arrangement as the day prior). It's been a month since I last visited Hamilton's, and it has been difficult coming to terms that I live halfway around the world away from it. This sultana scone really has changed the way I've looked at scones ever since: they have either been "a Hamilton's scone" or "a rubbish scone".

We recently visited Hamiltons Tea room for afternoon tea. We were celebrating the birthday of my first granddaughter with my mum who had visited from Cyprus to see her great granddaughter. Steve sent a complimentary bottle of pink bubbles to our table, along with a cork crossed with a silver coin, this was such a lovely gesture. The afternoon tea was 5* there were 7 of us but Steve suggested we have 5 afternoon teas and assured us there would be enough food for all. There was more than enough food, so much so we took sandwiches and cakes home with us. Thank you to the two ladies who also served us, so very attentive and welcoming. A huge thumbs up if you are considering visiting Hamiltons Tea room, you most certainly will not be disappointed.

I was so excited to go here when I found out they had a gluten free cream tea. The tea selection here is also AMAZING and they have a high tea you can order any time. I had a green tea and the gluten free cream tea. The scone was perfect and the tea was super delicious. They also have gluten free bread so I would have also gotten a sandwich but they were slammed and service was a little slow so I never had a chance to order anything else. But obviously people know what a great place this is because I was lucky to get a table and tables certainly weren't empty for long.

Since opening in the summer we have visited Hamilton's Tea House in Farnham at least once a week for their excellent range of coffees, snacks and cakes. Today we indulged in their afternoon tea for the first time and were not disappointed. When we first looked at its contents, we thought it would be a little too large for one but we were soon put at ease by Steve, the owner, saying 'why not share'.

We had a choice of some 20 different teas and a second pot was part of the package. Then came the eats - three plates of the most gorgeous food. A selection of four freshly made finger sandwiches to our choice, two vegan sausage rolls (coronation chicken vol-au-vent as an alternative choice) then three delightful home-made cakes all followed by two large scones, one plain and the other fruit - with butter, clotted cream and jam.

I suppose there are individuals that could eat all, but it gave the two of us a very tasty, beautifully cooked and presented afternoon tea.

Can't wait to go again, but will have to watch the carbs!
