"The Journalist" is a great addition to Godalming High Street, next to Godalming Museum, opposite the iconic Pepperpot. It has a great view of the town, especially the church street. It is owned by Merve who offers great coffee, tasty cakes and also savoury plates. Everything was great and Turkish coffee was a real delight! (Lovely gentle music. Dog friendly. Postscript: Marve's mum's savory pancake with lamb and potato was cooked as ordered, and it was delicious. Marve's matcha latte was sublime and authentic, close to what you can get in Tokyo....

The Journalist is so good I've found myself visiting Godalming more, just so I can go there! I unintentionally ate there couple of months ago and think I was bewitched by some sort of spell!
