Rajdoot Divine Indian Flavour — Restaurant in Wealden

As a couple we had booked a meal on the 17th May 2021 and honestly it was amazing. The staff were the most caring restaurant staff I have ever met. Walking through the doors they welcomed us with massive smiles. When taking our order the owner of the restaurant and the waitresses came over to have a friendly chat. The meal was delicious, we had chicken tikka masala and a chicken Madras, both of which were full of flavour! For sides we had cheesy naan bread (not too cheesy just the right amount) and lovely onion bhajis. With two alcoholic drinks our meal cost £43.00, which was amazing for not only the food but the awesome experience. It was also my partners birthday and the staff decided to give him a gift, they brought out two more bottles in a bag for us to take home (the two bottles of which we had drunk with our meal), this was very thoughtful.

I came to collect my order and drove home (5 minute drive with a hot bag) Understandably the naan wasn’t as hot but the curry itself was barely warm I’ve driven 20 minutes from other curry houses and the food has still been too hot to touch The chicken tikka masala and the pilau rice were both extremely watery and the masala lacked flavour aside from the extreme salt aftertaste The onion baijs were way over cooked and extremely hard to eat all the way through The slightly cold cheese naan which lacked cheese was probably the best part of the meal It was definitely not worth the £21 I spent for just myself I do however believe every restaurant should have 2 chances and I will give it another go in the up in coming months hopefully tonight was a one off after reading other reviews It seems to be quite popular

We've not been in Hailsham very long & hey, it is Valentines day, we like to support local businesses & eventually will try all the local cuisine in the Hailsham area. We love Tandooris too & have had many during our time in Reading. Signing into their app & ordering was easy enough altho I didn't expect the 99p service charge which you don't see until you're at the checkout. Also the prices were higher than were used too. The delivery was free which is great. The delivery turned up 5 mins early & the driver was very polite & friendly. The food was really delicious with generous portions & the poppadoms were very fresh and crispy, it's a firm favourite of ours now, we will be returning shortly.  It was really worth the price in the end. 👍🙂 Update: just had another take away, even better than the last one, very generous portions and arrived more than 20 minutes earlier than estimated....
