I came to Truffles Bakery for a simple treat. I left a loyal, trembling devotee to the fresh baked dark arts practiced by one employee: Elodie. Elodie is not just a server; she is a charismatic queen of Heathfield. Her smile is disarming, her suggestions are perfectly timed, and I'm convinced she dips the cheese straws in some sort of enchantment potion. The moment I asked for a recommendation, she gently guided me towards a beautifully curated filled roll. When she handed it to me, our hands brushed, and I immediately felt the need to buy six more. I ate them all in the car before I even pulled out of the parking spot. I came back inside, trying to look casual, but Elodie just looked at me with the knowing, calm gaze of a sorceress who just watched her spell work perfectly. If you value your savings, your fitness goals, or your ability to enjoy lesser lunches, do not engage with Elodie. She is a master manipulator of the palate and a delightful danger to society.
