Real China — Restaurant in Welwyn Hatfield

Seriously! 🙄 Even at the worst case of hunger, i dont want to go there and spend £50 for absolutely nothing! This is the third time we are going i think n every time we forget how disappointed we got the same tome last year coming here! We went today at 8:30 pm to celebrate GCSE result of my son. Went with my boys, we are vegetarians, they take the same money , paid £47 in total for 3 people- hardly anything for vegetarians! Cant find any egg in that super bland egg fried rice:( there isnt any protein food for vegetarians. The dessert section all the trays were taken fir washing as it was closing time n i had to ask them to provide us some dessert, they did, but.. 🙏🏻

They didnt mind taking the same price during closing time but cant provide the same varieties during closing tome. Watever they hv provided was soooo bland n full carbs. No protein option.

Also they made it clear that they didnt give a damn thinking about vegetarians! If they hv thought with their heart, they could hv even put some boiled eggs in a bowl.anyways..

My suggestion would be, if you are very hungry, i would rather do with a tesco sandwich rather than coming here n wasting my...

It's an all you can buffet. For the price I went in with expectations and they were met, Not exceeded, but can't say I did not get what I expected.

The bill for three of us was £57. That is with refillable drinks. We all left full and happy.

I actually like that the selection is a bit limited. I much prefer a few good dishes to so many mediocre or bad.

Restaurant was quite busy but we were seated quickly. Don't remember any background music, but lost of chatter from other patrons.

Staff were all very friendly from the guy that greeted us and took payment on way in to all the staff that clear your plates and hid the over eating evidence

Food was refilled quickly and everything I ate was at a good heat.

I think we were a bit late in the day because most of the desserts were gone by the time we wanted some, but we were already too full from the mains anyway. I don't usually think Chinese restaurants are well know for their desserts anyway.

Me and my friend went yesterday, completely forgetting that the buffet would be closed. So we got given menus and set lunch menu. I don't know what is with the onion rings and chicken nuggets to go with a sweet and sour etc. We should have got up and left as none of the food appealed to us or worked out very expensive to buy as single portions, but we were hungry and every were else was busy. I got set menu a and friend d but asked if we could swap the onion rings and chicken nuggets for cripsy seaweed and pawns. Waitress said not a problem. Set menu came out with none of the swap so had to call the guy back who did give us the cripsy seaweed and my friend the pawns. Seaweed cold, pawns she had to de shell, de tail and leg them. In all the food was the worst Chinese I think I've ever had. No flavour very greasy noodles, just not filling. Such a shame as before this was an alright place to come for lunch.
