Great Wetherspoon pub with more than a casual nod to the aircraft industry roots of much of Hatfield. The outside doesn't look like much but the interior is great. Various booths are actually made from old 747 engine cowlings and the bar has parts of a fuselage.on it . As with all of the chain there's a great range of beer and the restaurant was really busy when we visited. The only downside is that the car park offers only short stay for free but the charges are quite steep for a ticket. However as the beer is well priced it does lessen the cost of an evening spent here or in the surrounding area.

Have been here before and the food wasn't too bad at all but today was a let down. Barman was slow and got the orders wrong - he apologised and said he usually works in the kitchen, fairplay, we all have to learn at some time. Table was clean but floor was v.dirty, staff walked over squashed chips on the carpet several times just spreading the mess. First choices - chicken curry and veggie curry -weren't available so we had chilli con carne and a veggie burger - burger was ok, chilli didn't look too good and partner's verdict wasn't good either. On the plus side, it's done out nice, fast service and reasonably priced but after today's visit I doubt we will be back.

Nice place to eat, normal Weatherspoons menu which is great value but can be rather slow in getting your food. I was sitting near the pass where each meal is ready to taken to the customer. My meal sat on the pass for 20mins, i assumed it was for a different customer !! In total it took 48mins for me to get my Halloumi burger !! Lots of meals which include a drink in the price, great idea. There was a shortage of sparkling wine / champagne which was disappointing. Plenty of car parking but it's not cheap, which is a shame as nearly all car parks in Hatfield are free.
