This deli is beautiful, classy and homely. The lady who runs it/owns it makes everything from scratch and the quiches are the most beautiful you'll ever taste. The cakes are delicious - easily the best in Chagford, perhaps even the region. If you like a light, fresh lunch sat in the sun by the church grounds in the middle of the village, this is the best spot for you. There is a large variety of salads which are all executed perfectly, all extremely healthy and all the delicious fresh ingredients are too good quality to replicate on my own. I am a Chagford-phile. Who wouldn't be? Heaven on earth.

Even so... Black's is by any standard wonderful. I have visited for so many years and have always had a Black's baguette for lunch on the moor during my walk. I have also always take home one of their lovely pies. Today I had some delicious flavours...celery and cashew nuts for lunch and a marvellous apricot and almond tart for my pudding back home in Bournemouth. The food is so fresh and high quality.
