La Galleria — Restaurant in West Oxfordshire

Food was good but the waiter that served us ruined our experience. He was extremely rude. Not only to us but he was also extremely rude in front of us to one of his female colleagues. She tried to take our order because he was taking too long and he barked at her that it was his job to do that and stopped her from taking the food order. He continued to be unpleasant throughout our meal. We were there for lunch today around 1.30 to 3pm . I hope the owner of the restaurant takes note of this review and speaks to this waiter about his arrogant, rude, disrespectful and unprofessional attitude. So decided to try this restaurant out last night, nice central location, on street parking around it, small and slightly dated interior but clean and comfortable. 1 starter each, shared risotto for main and ice cream/sorbet for dessert. Food was decent, I wouldn’t say its mind blowing but it was good however on reflection I can’t honestly say it was good value for money. £20pp for seafood risotto and £10 each for 3 scoops of ice cream/sorbet is IMHO over priced by 20-30%. £100 for the 2 of us with no alcohol on the bill was frankly a bit of a shock. Over the last 20 years, every time we visit La Galleria we always have the best service and meal, with polite staff, the food is amazing, the lunch "3 course menu" is particularly good value and the evening menu is full of variety and flavour, really it's just a fantastic restaurant, it hasn't changed very much in all this time, except it's menu variety, which is always great.
