Soross — Restaurant in West Oxfordshire

Just had the most horrendous customer experience with Soross chicken in Carterton. Ordered food at 18:20, when I called up 20:55 (over 2 hours and 40 minutes later) to see where our food was it was diminished that it is out for delivery and I should be lucky that it was. A similar thing happened a few weeks ago and I let it slide as it may have been a once off and they were busy, the food arrived cold and stale which we did not eat in the end. This time I asked to speak to the manager who then handed me to (I am assuming the owner) when I asked for a refund due to the long wait and that this was the second time this has happened, to then be verbally abused by him. First time customer, ordered through their website, says they deliver up to 4 miles away. Put address in and all went through fine. (£2 delivery charge added, fine) A few mins later I received a phone call telling me they don’t deliver to my postcode/Burford. Despite being in Shilton, literally 1 mile outside of Carterton and exactly 2.4miles from the shops postcode. Questioned this and was told “it is a Saturday, we’re really busy and we’ve only got 2 drivers” (employ more!) She double checked only to come back and tell me driver is refusing to deliver. Refund processed (takes up to 3 working days, NOT immediately as I was told! 😡) Will spend elsewhere and won’t try them...

We love Sorros! Never had a bad meal from there. Always arrives hot. There can sometimes be a long wait HOWEVER I believe that it shows the popularity of the place. If there is a long wait they always apologise on delivery. If you want it quicker go and collect. Good customer service, reasonably priced and portion sizes are decent! I feel safe using my card at this place, given other establishments in Carterton who continually have customers cards cloned and then get fraudulent activity on their account happen I KNOW this will not happen with Sorros.
