In a desert of good pubs in the local area, this is a brilliant oasis. There are other pubs around but this is far better than the other options. Yes, it's a bit of a walk to get there, but it's worth the effort. You'll receive a friendly welcome when you walk in and you'll be offered a far better choice of drinks than you'd think from the outside. Real ales are always on tap and very well kept too. There is a wide ranging and reasonably priced food menu available and I've never seen anyone complain about the quality. With a new estate to be built over the road, this small local is surely going to become far far busier. I urge anyone to visit it....just tell Jon and Becky that I sent you...i may get a free...
