From the moment we walked into the Baytree we were given a warm and genuine welcome. We were seated at a lovely table which had spotless table linen and spotlessly clean surroundings. There were fresh flowers on the table too which was a lovely touch. The ambiance was perfectly set with traditional music and was set at such a level that you could hear each other speaking across the table. The staff were both friendly, kind and knowledgeable of their food; all of which are created freshly on the premises even the scrumptious selection of pickles were all created on site: which you could taste in the refreshing ingredients. This made is so comforting when discussing my food allergies with the members of staff as I often get turned away from restaurants because staff can’t tell me the exact ingredients in their dishes or it’s all pre-packed and they don’t know what’s in it. There is a great selection of dishes and we had chosen to visit on a Wednesday; which is there banquet night. Don’t let the reasonable prices fool you into thinking you are going to get a small selection of food. We couldn’t finish everything! The food was hot, fresh and tasty. The dishes were not overpowered by heat so you couldn’t taste the ingredients; they were flavoursome and well balanced. Such a lovely evening out. I don’t know why this lovely restaurant didn’t have a queue down the street and around the corner. It really deserves to!! Thank you for such and enjoyable evening, with the most scrumptious food and wonderful staff.

Sunday Buffet - Can’t be beaten! As new residents to Eynsham, we had to try this spot and needless to say we were not disappointed. The Sunday buffet has a great selection comprising of starters, mains and a fruit salad to finish. All very fresh and incredible value for money. Restaurant itself is very well laid out and staff attentive. We will be visiting frequently from now on.

Perfect restaurant located in a quiet village in Oxford - Eynsham. Food is traditional Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine , flavours of the top quality with good portion sizes and decent prices. The deco is ambient with a calming atmosphere and best restaurant around.

Not one for leaving bad reviews , but at a recent Family meal at the bayleaf , we had the Sunday Buffet, food all tasted the same and was bland , (apart from the chicken tikka , that was okay ).

However , apart from the below average food , which normally id just ignore and move on from , it was the miserable service that led me to leave a negative review.

The floor manager was so grumpy and kept telling people off at the buffet table for not putting spoons back correctly , leaving the lids open to long when deciding what you wanted to choose , rolling eyes when deciding to change drink, sulky, miserable and rude.

He looked like he didn’t want anybody in the restaurant , well, we won’t ever be back . Let me say , people are struggling financially all across the country and the least you can do is smile and be thankful to your customers paying hard earned money at your establishment….(especially when your food...

Went one evening with family for a sit down meal , got greeted by 3 member of staff at the door , one whom was ready to seat us , one member of staff or glared at us disgustingly. Lived in this village for over 50 years and never got treated and looked down upon... probably not as upper class at they wanted, but they shouldn't be too fussy after only having one table sat down! After asking the guy if he was feeling OK due to his glares, words and manners we left and ate at ready steady spice in the village. Must yummiest food and even though we spent a lot was still cheaper than here, whom staff and mannerisms were delightful! Would never come back here, think management unless they were need to reconsider there customer skills- vile...
