Obviously a popular place with a good menu. We booked for a large party with 2 vegans, pre ordering food. Unfortunately im not sure the kitchen staff understand dairy free so go careful if you have an alergy. No veg at all with the vegan nut roast just potatoes and veg on the other vegan roast appeared to have butter on it. The waitress couldn't answer if it did or didn't so not to risk it left the veg. There's a mix of styles going on that seems to work because you get the sense of peoples characters melding into one space, from traditional pub, peaky blinders references, carribean food and feminine touches. I feel really welcome here and love watching the people who work here and I usually avoid pubs so that says a lot. The food was really fantastic, I had a surprisingly light and flavourful rack of ribs with lovely Slaw and chips. My partner had a chicken and brie burger which she enjoyed but I think we both would have quite liked some greenery somewhere on the plate. Completely understand if they forgot however as it was very busy.
