I've walked past this place so many times and always thought to myself how inviting it looks. I had been meaning to try it for some time and I was so glad I did. The food was fresh and delicious and it took me right back to some of the best times abroad visiting the Greek Islands. The photos I took really do not do it justice. I had a lovely Mediterranean chicken panini and the tazeki was so fresh and flavoursome it really accompanied the other flavours really well. I left with a smile on my face that lasted the rest of the day. I would also like to say that the portion size was absolutely spot on and great value for money. I wish I worked right near to here as it would definitely become a weekly lunch date for me. Top marks and I would have given more stars if I could fit more on... Delicious

Lunch at Cafe Kottani, a Greek cafe in Bury St Edmunds. Stopped here as vegan options and prices are very reasonable. Limited seating though there are some tables further at the back and tables outside. Find yourself a unoccupied table and order at the counter. We ordered Meze 2 and a vegan Mushroom and Potatoe pie. Food was delicious and coffees were equally as nice. Single unisex cubicle toilet at the back. Definitely worth stopping here to eat.

Edited for service issue. Best meze in town. Very high quality. Visted dozens of times, and always had the same meze dish. (Meze III). Although last time we visited, the order was taken down incorrectly and they had to remake our dishes. Not before insisting that we ordered incorrectly with an attitude that baffled us from a customer service perspective. We actually don't want to return after this experience.

Never disappointed when we have visited for lunch. The Mousakka is a homemade standoff, simply amazing. Larger portions than most light bites around the town centre. Accommodating to kids, although maybe not buggys due to space. Always full but someone is always leaving as we have entered #lucky Coffees are always piping hot and to barista specs. Definitely worth a regular visit and pleasantly situated in the middle of town. Not forgetting its also a local business too.

Update: Have since popped in many times. Still always full of custom and the legendary Mousakka is generally available due to its popularity. My 11yr olds go to place to eat and celebrate. The panini's in her own words are...

My first experience of Cafe Kottani was a great one. My Mum had been before and treated me to lunch. We had Mezze 1 & 2, a frappuccino & frappe to drink. The food was delicious and very filling. The staff were polite and served with a smile. My only criticisms would be that the falafel was slightly on the dry side. That is me being super picky and does not warrant losing a star. Already looking forward to my next visit. Recently visited again and had a lamb wrap which was cooked beautifully. Toilets were...
