I (perhaps unwisely) looked up the restaurant’s food hygiene rating out of curiosity just before arriving, and was shocked to find it had a 2* out of 5* rating as of March 2025. As I was dining as part of a group, I had little influence over the choice of venue, but I did hope a more recently updated rating would be clearly displayed at the entrance, as is recommended — unfortunately, I saw no sign of it. It’s not exactly something you can casually ask about while ordering. Given a past experience of very upset stomach from undercooked pork at a different establishment with a low food hygiene rating, I decided to steer clear of the meat options. The meal began with a mushroom starter, which was disappointingly watery rather than creamy. However, the accompanying focaccia was excellent — light, fresh, and full of flavour. I initially ordered a “wild strawberry lemonade”, which turned out to be completely flat and artificial-tasting — more like a children’s cordial. Credit to the waitress though, who was happy to replace it with a J2O without fuss. For the main, I chose the goat’s cheese ravioli, which arrived with a rather uninspired salad garnish. The ravioli itself was underwhelming — bland, with no real hint of goat’s cheese — and the portion size was shockingly small (think starter sized) for the £17.95 price tag. For that, you’d expect something far more generous and flavourful, especially compared to what you might get at a good local pub. The front-of-house staff were friendly and polite throughout, which I appreciated, but overall it wasn’t a pleasant dining experience and I wouldn’t return.

Me and my partner popped in for a lunch whilst on our short trip to bury st Edmund's for our anniversary , we were greeted by a enthusiastic and friendly server and were seated instantly! Our server James was very accommodating, our food and drinks were delicious and brought out in good time, the restaurant itself is very clean and very well decorated making the atmosphere to eat in extremely enjoyable. After our meal we then decided to participate in a game of rock paper scissors with James to potentially win 2 desserts for the price of one, unfortunately me and my partner lost to James, but we took it on the chin! Me and my partner will definitely be returning to Prezzo the next time we visit bury st Edmund's, amazingly managed with extremely hard working staff! 👍

Had a lovely family meal out apart from my meal not arriving with everyone else’s so I had to wait another 10mins. They kindly refunded my meal but when checking the bill after I’d paid I noticed they’d overcharged for the kids meal which should have been £9.50 for 3 courses and they’ve charged for each course individually. Took ages to get the bill and leave which was a pain as the children had lost patience by then. Overall an annoying experience even though the actual food was really tasty.

We had a lovely meal and a bottle of wine, atmosphere was great, service excellent my main meal could have been slightly warmer but I like my meals to be fairly hot when served others would have said it was to their liking we can't all be the same, still enjoyed it though. We will be back don't worry, other eating establishments should come and see how you operate they could learn a lot THANK YOU 😉 Back again, we both had pizza's this time, and nice bottle of white wine, both came fairly quickly, pizza's nice and hot, service very good, staff always polite, and very attentive, making sure you are happy with your meal etc. Venue filled up faily quickly, there were a good number of children with either parents or grandparents but all were well behaved so good atmosphere. Very enjoyable lunch, thank you prezzos

Yes back again yesterday, another fantastic meal for both of us, my pizza was huge, couldn't manage to consume it all so doggy box for the evening, the place was buzzing again. Staff again attentive, couldn't do enough for you, really nice to see, bottle of wine was enjoyable and didn't have to wait too long for meal to arrive. Overall excellent thanks again Prezzos will be back. Back again but this time we visited the ipswich restaurant, and just a walk in, staff were excellent and the food was brill lovely and hot perfect for me, couldn't resist the pizza I had the last time, wife struggled with her meal but did manage to finish loved every mouthful. Quite a trickle of customers and obviously some were regulars as staff new them as they arrived, thanks again...

Came here to eat with my mum and mother in law and daughters. As we came in and waited to be sat three members of staff stood behind the bar chatting and none of them acknowledged us, after about a minute the girl walked out and picked up the menus still not saying a word or even looking at us until she was directly infront of us. She then sat us at a table and explained the grill wasn’t working so had no burgers or salad. My mum who had been looking forward to ordering the burger asked if they had the crab ravioli, the girl went and checked with kitchen and came back to say yes. After a while the waiter came to take the order telling us again about the grill but also they had no calimari. We order drinks which the waiter struggled with after me ordering a blood orange margarita and being asked if that was a double or single shot he then asked me what mixer I liked, and looked confused when I said it was a cocktail, after that we ordered a bottle of wine to be asked if we wanted a small, medium or large. To top it all off after the first girl checking the kitchen we were told there was no crab ravioli when trying to order that. We ended up cancelling the whole order and leaving to eat elsewhere. It would really be an idea to take your staff through more training, even just down to the basics of acknowledging the customers and understanding...
