Lovely cafe in old beautifully restored station on Stour Valley line. Unusually it has a castle in the goods yard. The whole area between castle and River Stour now a country park. The village is a short step and is well worth ecploring. Beautiful medieval church and buildings. Cheap parking and great cafe in station make this a good base to explore village and surroundings. Several circular country walks radiate from the car park through surrounding area of outstanding natural beauty.

Bring a packed lunch. £6 gets you a toasted sandwich that is burnt, tasteless and tiny. You get 4 crisps and a few leaves with it. One bite and I sent it back for a refund. The pesto was an untastable scraping, the tomatoes were few, pale and tasteless slices, not actually sun dried, the mozzarella was the only real ingredient and there was very little. No one else in the party enjoyed their food, tho mine was the only one that was inedible. The wait staff seemed frustrated and disinterested. If I could give less than 1 stars, this would be the place to get it. Avoid.

Food/drink OK, disappointed that having taken the time to alert the business 8 days ago of a potential issue with the takeaway cups they served my drink in (The bottom fell out about 10 mins after purchase dumping hot drink over me while driving). I received no acknowledgement of my message. Wasn't after anything, just trying to ensure the same issue didn't happen again and injure someone.

Perfect cafe, we found a cool spot on a hot day. Waitress delivered our order outside and was happy to chat before having to rush off and serve more customers! Coffee was good and an excellent cheese scone hit the spot. Cafe atmosphere and location is perfect. Very enjoyable. Water bowls out for dogs, of which there are many.

Lovely cafe in the Clare park by the old railway line and station. Nice stop for simple good food (jackets, baps, sandwiches etc.) Or take aways for walks around the park, village or alone the disused railway line.
