I grew up attending scouts in the country park and visited more recently. It warms my heart to see the development of this piece of land to realize its full potential with the use of the station buildings for a Cafe and educational displays, some restoration work to the castle ruins and clearing of the mound to better display the ruins. There is a well maintained playground and miles of paths through the woods. There was organized pond dipping when we were there as well!
