This is the worst place I've been in for years complete lack of customer service and an aggressive rude member of staff .When you book a table I think it's reasonable to expect a staff member to greet you and perhaps show you to it and explain how to order not here stood for ages after entering eventually someone said to go through then after sitting for ages a customer told us you had to order at the bar stood there for 20 minutes while the old lady deliberately served every single person that came to the bar after me I eventually caught her her eye smiled and asked if i was invisible to be told don't start ill get to you when I'm ready we left but noticed outside that I had chewing gum stuck to the arm if my jacket place is filthy can only imagine this establishment is still financially viable because of its close proximity to the race course because it should be avoided at all costs unless you enjoy appalling customer service and aggressive...

We only went for a drink and it was our first time in there. On walking upto it the first thing I thought was it needs painting especially the woodwork. The inside is geared towards families with kids with machines. We sat in the back part of the pub where all the chairs seem different at the dining tables. It looked like they'd got chairs from closed down pubs or something like that. I couldn't believe how many staff were on for a very quiet day. In fact they out numbered the customers at one point. The pub looks unloved and in dire need of a major refurb. That's not an easy thing in today's financial climate. Having said that i wouldn't go a second time and sadly that's the way...

First visit to this pub as I look for dog friendly pubs. The area where you can sit with your pet is rather tired looking and cramped with your pet having to sit very close to your feet which was a little uncomfortable compared with the rest of the pub which is really quite nice. The staff however were lovely, very friendly and professional. The food was very nice, arrived soon after ordering and was hot and tasty. We had chicken burgers with fries and cheesy garlic bread as it was Thursday it was buy one get one free on the burgers.... winner! I am not sure if i would visit again but only because I felt like the dog friendly area was like third class compared to the rest...

Just stayed at the bay horse as a little get away with my mum and little boy. Had a brilliant time staff are amazing couldn't do enough for us and even provided ice on both nights to keep my little ones milk cold. Shout out to kiera and hayley who were always on hand for anything we needed. Our bedroom was top notch and lovely and clean. Beer garden was lovely as we had great weather and the breakfast was yummy as well as our other meals and drinks, would deffo come again, thanks for a lovely stay.

It's a very nice pub and the staff are also lovely. Loads of parking ans plenty of tables to go round so I can imagine it'd pretty easy to get a table even at the busiest of times. I had the xl mixed grill and my wife the full rack of ribs. There was nothing wrong with them just a slight lack in flavour. We would definitely go back though.
