My last review of this place was five stars, not any longer. My stepson and his girlfriend went in for a meal after the theatre and there was only one other customer seated in the entire place, yet they had been waiting for over 40 minutes for their meal. My wife and I happened to be nearby so we stopped in to see how their night out was doing. They still haven't been served, two employees stated as we entered "great, we have more customers" the place was empty by then. I asked the waitress why they hadn't received their food, and her reply was "how am I supposed to know?" I asked to speak with the manager and he stated "we only have one oven working" translation, they cleaned one and didn't want to use it again. He stated "We have a bunch of delivery orders" He refused to provide us a copy of the receipt. The kids meal came in overcooked, served with attitude. The food is normally amazing, but when you have to put up with subpar service due to being run by literal kids and a store manager not much older.... Needless to say, we'll stick to proper restaurants from now on, not fast food casual dining. If you're in the Wigan area, don't pick this place, you'll be...
Read moreRestaurant was packed, which was expected, but what wasn’t was my party of three’s food being completely forgotten! Between our starters and mains we waited 35 minutes at least, and about an hour after we ordered we finally received everything. It took 10 minutes for us to just get glasses for our drinks just for them to give us only two glasses, forcing me to ask for another when it was difficult enough to even find a staff member. Starters were fine, but no wait staff ever cleared the plates off of our table, so it just stayed there the whole meal. When I had finally had enough, I went and asked one of the staff to check on our food. Finally, when our mains arrived, they simply apologised for the wait. The food came warm, but the sides had been freshly microwaved, and my Finno Pitta came dryer than sand until I doused it in sauce, not finding the main’s usual sauce until my last few bites. The same main was also underseasoned but that was masked by the amount of lemon and herb sauce I had to put on it. Overall this was just barely a 2/5 experience, and I will not be coming to this Nando’s...
Read moreI have no idea what these bad reviews are about. Seriously ignore them, they have to be from people who have never been to Nando's before.
Went as a family of 3 yesterday. The place is large and clean, we didn't have to queue, we were seated right away. (If you have ever been to a Nando's before though, they have a system for this if there are no tables which works well. Remember, this isn't their fault, they are doing the best they can because of Covid)
You order via an app if paying on card, the free wifi was fast, the food arrived quickly and was hot and tasty. The team members were all lovely and helpful.
My only niggle is that I had a 'One for all' gift card that they couldn't make work, so I couldn't use it. Bit of a pain, but again not their fault it was apparently a technical issue, so no stars lost.
We were in, got food and off we went. Nando's have never pre-booked tables, even before Covid. Go and give it a try, ignore the low reviews from people who literally...
