The Buttery — Restaurant in Wigan

I don't normally visit places for lunch that are takeaway only. I am so glad I did today (Wednesday). The Hunter's Chicken bap is probably the best I have ever eaten. There was plenty of tasty filling, and at just £4.20 it was so much better value than some of the local cafes. Service was quick and friendly. If I decide to have a takeaway lunch sandwich again. The Buttery will be first on my list to visit. Updated 17.07 Called in today. The lady who served us must have been having a bad day. She managed to get our 2 item order wrong and was very moody when I pointed it out. We knew what we ordered. Service and atmosphere score reduced. Food is still good...

Went here twice in one day as it was so good !! Opted for the advertised legend which is basically a beautifully made club sandwich toasted and well it was amazing 🤩 we had it for breakfast me and my colleague had the same which the ladies found a bit random but when one of the staff cooked it they admitted that they fancied it them selves , we were working in the area for the day so went back for lunch as well , delicious food reasonably priced would highly recommend as you will be spoilt for choice in this clean and very well kept establishment a true gem in Leigh...

The ladies here make a really nice BLT binlid for £4.60 (at the time of posting) and it was great, fresh veg, creamy mayo, soft bap and food amount of bacon. Service was quick, staff very friendly, card or cash, large amounts of desserts and savoury pies, shame this place isn't in my town or I'd be round...
