Spinning Slots Cafe — Restaurant in Wigan

Booked in for afternoon tea on Sat at 1.30. Turned up. Numerous staff walked past us, ignored us and one waitress walked into me with a bowl of soup (didn't even say excuse me) after 5 minutes managed to speak to someone. Was told "oh we didn't know if you were turning up as you didn't leave a name, number or deposit " I responded "the man I spoke to just told me to come at 1.30pm and didn't request any further information " the lady just flung her arms up and said "well what do you want us to do" " you can come back in few hours when not as busy " so we decided to not eat in the cafe given the rudeness of the staff and went to cafe luna on Bradshawgate which I would highly recommend. I will not visit slots cafe again or recommend it. Can't even rate this place...

My other half and I had afternoon tea here for only £10 using a 50% discount voucher from Groupon. The cafe itself is in a fair condition, however the toilets (which are shared by both the patrons from the cafe and the arcade next door) could do with a little attention. Our afternoon tea was very good value for money on the whole and the option to choose whichever drink we liked to accompany it was a nice touch - I opted for hot chocolate and it was delicious! The only nitpick is that we would have liked slightly more savoury food (sandwiches) to accompany the nice selection of cake, scone and jelly. All in all a...

Appalling service. Not dog friendly at all. If there was a Zero star option I would have used it. We checked on line and it was presented as Dog Friendly. We drove and walked to get to the place. Having ordered and paid for food and drinks for a family and been sat at the table for 5 mins we were then informed that we were not allowed our dog in the cafe. We pointed out that Goggle said otherwise and she said only that applies to guide dogs. Handled dreadfully and bad temperedly by the woman serving....
