Lovely cosy restaurant. My favourite food were the starters we ordered. - Chilaquiles: Loved the sauce, nice totopos, great flavour overall 10/10. -Chicharrones: Loved the sauce. Great to snack before the main meal. Main meal: -Tacos Birria: Order comes with 2 tacos plus the sauce. The original Birria "consome" is a lighter watery version, this was more of a gravy sauce but still tasty. The Birria meat felt a bit dry although good flavour and both tacos were made with a flour tortilla and cheese which I wasn't expecting for these tacos. Would love to see a version with corn tortilla in their menus. Ambiance was good, got busy really quick right after the opening time. Service was quick and friendly. Menu is nice and simple. They don't offer WiFi. Overall nice place and vibe, and will definitely come back for more chilaquiles and to try other things on the menu.

Popped to Whitley on a whim.. decided to have a spot of lunch. Everywhere we looked was really busy except Baja. So in we went. It's small and friendly. They found us a table without too much of a wait. We were provided with menu and drinks very quickly and our order taken without any issues. As we sat chatting we noticed things being taken back to the kitchen. I became worried that we'd walked into a no star restaurant. However when the food arrived my worries were put to bed. It was great! (From eavesdropping we realised they had some... challenging customers) So ...we had great service, great food and the way they delt with the other customers was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. I do recommend that you go. Next time I'm in Whitley I won't bother looking at any other restaurants, I will head straight there.

1st time eating at this restaurant. It's small and cosy, great atmosphere and the staff were absolutely great. They kept checking up on our table and were friendly. I had ordered a pork belly taco, it looked great but had no flavour and was a bit dry. My wife had ordered a prawn and chorizo taco, that looked great and was really tasty. Their chips are just out of this world, absolutely loved them. It's a great setup, the kitchen is all open and you can see the chef making all the food. My only recommendation is, when it's cold try not to sit by the door. Lunch time was really busy and every time someone came in or left, I felt the wind and just made me a bit uncomfortable. I will definitely return but will try something different. Don't think tacos are for me.

Booked in for this evening, meant to book for for 4 but accidently selected 3, Sent an email explaining and received a response adjusting the booking almost immediately, turned up for our meal and asked if we could sit outside as it was a lovely evening and stafff more than happy to accomodate, The atmosphere was fantastic and I almost felt this could easily feel at home in port solent, staff were friendly and attentive, food was delicious and arrived well paced for the experience. Blankets are provided to keep guests warm when dining outside and the inside was vibrant and well decorated, Staff although not uniformed were still easily identified as they were literally on hand an keen to assist, I think the dynamic of this works quite well as uniforms would feel to strict for such a relaxed establishment. 5 Stars and a must visit for anyone looking for a great evening out. Makes Nandos...
