The food here is so very hit and miss lately. Ive been coming here for years and last nights experience fell short . I had a pepperoni pizza which was over cooked and tasted like a frozen pizza from Iceland , my son had carbonara which was very flavourful but was dry . The rosemary garlic bread was like a poppadom ,, very over cooked and snapped intead of tearing . The best part of the meal was the side of chips which were hot and salty (£4.75 for a tiny basket) !!, . The staff on the whole were ok . We were greeted by a mature foreign lady with very little warmth or welcoming / time for the customer , given a table by the front door which produced an icy blast every time it was opened , we moved in the end but I could tell she was irritated by our request. At no time were we asked if we were happy with our food ( we were not ) but just got on with it . This is not a cheap place to eat and the standard has definitely dropped , there is also a 10% service charge added to the bill , which granted is optional . I dont mind tipping people who have given good service and food but the presumption is not welcome ,, plus why should you pay extra to people for doing the work they are already paid to do and that is the reason they are there ?. This experience has pushed us away from Wildwood Whitely and we will go to other places ,, its such a shame things have slipped at our...

If you’re looking for a nice dinner where you’re able to have a conversation AVOID.

The restaurant is so loud and they sat us in the middle of the echoing room - if you do not want to spend your meal shouting to one another then defiantly avoid.

Myself and my partner ended up moving tables due to not being able to bare being in the middle. Although this helped it was still overwhelmingly loud within the restaurant.

It is very much similar to a restaurant within an all exclusive hotel, not the dining experience we were expecting.

The staff were extremely rude, they rushed us to order. Didn’t ask how our food was or if everything was okay, was not welcomed on our arrival (menus where thrown at the table and the waiter disappeared before we even sat down) - probably due to knowing how bad the restaurant is themselves.

We ordered prawns for a starter - just to make it clear you can by a pack ready to eat which is nicer from M&S for a quarter of the price. Bread was dry and they were defiantly not king prawns - wouldn’t be surprised if they were microwaved.

My main was not as bad as expected. I got the cheese steak sandwich - it was average for the price.

My partner on the other hand got a rack of ribs - the driest, most flavourless ribs. Do not recommend at all.

It’s a shame as I feel that the location has so much potential that is...

Food was not great and the service was awful. I ordered a burger and sweet potato fries; there was more lettuce than burger in the burger - it was just a thin beef burger like a McDonald's hamburger. The sweet potato fries were covered in salt by the chef, so rather than a little salt which you could add to for taste, there was just too much. Onto the dessert: ordered Nutella dough balls; firstly the waiters forgot both my and one of my friends orders, then took an age to bring out the dessert, using the excuse that the kitchen had closed at this point - really not interested in excuses, it's either good service or its not, the excuse is irrelevant. The dessert itself was of poor quality, four tiny dough balls covered in a a massive pile of whipped cream; the dessert would more accurately have been labelled whipped cream mountain with dough balls treasure hunt. We asked for the bill which took ages to arrive and even longer for them to get a card machine. I really think the staff at this restaurant should go out to an actual decent restaurant so they can see what good service is; it may be quite an eye opener to just how poor they are by comparison, though I suspect they genuinely don't...

Booked a reservation through Google that was quick and easy. We enjoyed a post birthday dinner on a lovely warm evening sitting outside on a comfy bench seat table. Raspberry lemonade was lovely and refreshing (so much so I had two drinks with dinner which is unlike me) we had a baby camembert to start to share between us but was a little disappointed it only came with 3 tiny bits of bread. Albeit it was lovely and tasty but there was a lot of cheese left, maybe just one more piece of bread would have been suffice. I had calzone for main which was absolutely delicious. The dough was incredibly tasty. Packed full with the fillings and a generous side salad which broke up the richness of the ingredients nicely. I would have preferred the temperature to be slightly hotter as the middle where it was so packed full was a little colder than I would have liked but that's person preference. The halloumi cheese was also very tasty. All of the staff were welcoming and polite. We would love to visit again if we are back this way.

Disappointing experience when usually wildwood is a safe bet. Tonight sadly the food was really below par. The pizzas we ordered all three were overcooked with the underside caked in soot from what I can only assume was too much flour on the base, or the oven needs a sweep. In addition to this, the final adult dish was cold. Really disappointing. Strangely no soft drinks available on draft so that you are charged a premium for a small glass bottle. That said the venue Is a great atmosphere with a small kids play are... the manager this evening was very friendly, just a shame the food was below par.

Visited in here last night , we throughly in enjoyed it . The 2 for 1 on cocktails was the icing on the cake. Food came out promptly and was delicious , pizza was amazing . Our waitress ( who wore glasses we didn't get her name unfortunately) was really helpful, and attentive and advised us on what to go for. We will definitely be back again our new fav Italian !
