KFC — Restaurant in Winchester

I mean... it's KFC. It doesn't matter if you're in the worst place in the UK, Peterborough (as voted for the third year in a row in 2021 by The Star...), Gosport, London or Brighton or even Hull, KFC will always be KFC. Deep fried chicken served with varying degrees of grease and soggy fries. Much like the donner kebab, how much you enjoy it will be mostly dependant on how drunk you are and whether you've eaten in the last three days or not. On a scale of 1 to 10 with Nando's being up there at number 1, KFC ranks dead centre at number 5 beating all manner knock offs like (Ken's Fried Chicken in Fareham or the slightly more repugnant Chick-O-Ribs in Gosport). You get what you pay for - with Nando's being the exception due to the fact it's just chicken, not venison you're paying for - and KFC is the benchmark by which all other chicken is measured. It gets 4 stars. Why? Because wherever I am, there's a 'restaurant' less than 3 minutes walk, I can find enough money for it in the gutter along the way and I know how it's going to taste of sadness in the same beautiful, familiar way as everywhere else. I came here when it first opened and there was amazing quick service and good quality food, however I just came back today to treat myself after work and I wish I didn't. I waited 40 minutes for a large boneless banquet meal I get there at half 7pm on a Saturday. There were a bunch of young people supposed to be working however it was only two young tanned boys actually working. There were people in front of me demanding refunds after waiting over an hour. Once they got the manager involved the other staff actually seemed to start working once the manager started shouting at them in front of all of us which is incredibly unprofessional. The only benefit was my food was hot when I got it and correct. I don't recommend coming here now they definitely need better staff and management as there were plenty of staff there tonight but on 2 seemed to want to work. Such a shame this has gone downhill as it was great when they first opened. Also fix your self service machine they have never worked since you open never prints the receipt so have to take a picture of the code or try and remember so you have no proof that the...

Absolutely shambolic, how a restaurant can be allowed to run with no organisation whatsoever is absolutely ridiculous.

Went in at lunch time and ordered via the app, checked in and saw my order on the screen. It then went over to the ready to collect but my number was not called out.

I queried this and was told there was a delay on the sides which would be ready in about 30 seconds. A further 10 minutes passed with no sign of my food, so I asked again where a different member of staff told me it would be sorted and ready, just give them 2 minutes.

After a further 15 minutes of being ignored a third member of staff finally acknowledged me asking for help, and when I simply asked for my food or a refund they went round to the kitchen and packed the order instantly.

I foolishly trusted they'd managed to get this right and took the bag without checking the contents. From placing my order to getting my food took over 30 minutes and when it was finally ready there were items missing.
