Amelie Coffee & Cakes — Restaurant in Wirral

Stopped in on my own for a quick coffee in May 2025 before travelling to a meeting.

Staff were very friendly and I was greeted with a large smile on arrival. Although not overly busy, the staff greeted all customers well and I could hear them explaining various features of the menu to the clients to help them order.

The venue was clean and tidy, and the outside space although small was lovely on what was a sunny day. I ordered a large latte, which was well served, tasty and suitably priced for the area.

We were in Birkenhead for an appointment and got there early. Decided to have a wander around Hamilton Square as we don't normally go to this part of Birkenhead and found this little coffee shop. We tried an iced coffee and it was lovely. The coffee shop is small but the layout has been designed really well. It may be small but feels spacious. Plenty of seating too. A lovely little coffee shop off Hamilton Square, we especially went out of our way to call in and had coffee and sandwiches. The coffee was freshly ground, I had the tuna which was really tasty and my mum had the chicken tikka sandwich, which she commented the bread was so nice.
