Such poor acceptance for transgender women. I went out to this pub the other day for a few drinks on my own. The bar man wouldn't stop gorping at me, then I noticed him sneakily looking at me whilst talking to two childish lads, yes lads, because no gentleman would make a woman feel uncomfortable the way they did. Everyone else seemed to get on with what they were doing, but the bar man who weren't an oil painting himself, kept looking over along with the other two lads. For 2 hours I just felt the two young lads and the bar man gorping at me, then when the lads left, the blonde lad said to me "see ya later lad." In a very malicious and sarcastic sort of way. From my experience, I would definitely not recommend this pub for trans women, you'd have more fun and acceptance in whether spoons on argyle street, and that's saying something. I m not a drinker so can't comment on choice of beers but it's a great small venue big enough to breath and enjoy the real rock n roll vibes there.
Toilets are however true rock n roll I guess and smell shockingly bad but hey many a rock venue I ve been to over the years have been little better.
Anyway the Swinging Arm offer loads of regular free entry of mainly decent rock covers bands and hard rock cafe meets sunset strip type vibes.expect big big beards, tattoo s and hair.
