Today I rang the owner of the Mythos restaurant asking him if he would kindly give me their ouzo chicken recipe . I had eaten it a few months earlier and found it to be delicious, and I wanted to cook it for my elderly brother who has been rather poorly of late. Not only did he give me the recipe, he generously gave me a large container of the sauce which the chicken is cooked in. He even offered to come to my home and cook the meal free of charge. I didn't take him up on his offer as I really enjoy cooking, but what kind person he is. I hope his restaurant thrives, because people such as he are special. Absolutely fantastic! It had been a year since we were last in Greece so we went to Mythos and I'm so happy we did. The food, the custom, the friendliness and the atmosphere took me right back. We went for the meze (which is very reasonable at £22ph for four courses) and loved every bite. It was nice that they left all the dips for the whole meal too. The belly dancer was a nice surprise and even though we had intended on a quiet early night out we both ended up dancing around! Lovely establishment with great décor! Had the pleasure of having dinner here on a Friday - shared starter platter was a brilliant way to sample various Greek dishes and the moussaka for a main was 10/10. The owner / manager (or I assume so) was very friendly! Tiniest thing - was a touch disappointed by the olives, were tasty but a bit plain - would expect something marinated or a touch exotic being a staple Greek food - but nothing to fault the rest of the meal...
