Bank Café & Bar — Restaurant in Wirral

What a lovely little place, it has a good selection of both alcohol and soft drinks. The Wrexham lager is lovely and they also have Effes if you want a slightly more premium, stronger lager. Coffee and a great variety of cakes are also available. The small plates are always well presented and full of flavour at very reasonable prices. On Fridays from 5:00 there is live music from some well known local singers played at just the right volume for the size of the venue. This is very popular so I would recommend booking. Boasting a warm and welcoming environment with ambient lighting it’s a very comfortable place to enjoy a few hours with friends. The staff are extremely helpful, polite & always smiling. Outside in the back area is a lovely sun trap for afternoon dinks. There are also a small number of tables situated out the front on the high street if you’re more of a people watcher. The unisex toilet is always clean and fresh with a little box sanitary items if required. Due to how busy it can get a second toilet would be beneficial as you can sometimes have to form a small queue. I recently visited The Bank cafe and bar, and I can’t say enough good things about both the ambiance and the incredible service. The bar itself is cozy and inviting with great music and the staff are so attentive.

From the moment I sat down, Sean made me feel so welcome. Not only was he attentive, but he was also genuinely passionate in creating cocktails which were absolutely amazing. By the end of the night, it felt like we’d had a real experience, not just a round of drinks. A gem for the Hoylake neighbourhood. We visited the Bank Cafe on Saturday as a bit of a change of scenery for us. We all enjoyed their comforting food, friendly atmosphere and great music (my 12 year old daughter was particularly impressed with the playlist)

They have nailed the mix of keeping original features and making the place feel contemporary at the same time. We sat at the high table in the middle and felt particularly nostalgic about writing paying-in slips (or watching our parents fill them in)
