Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Wirral

I would NOT order from here if you want your pizza to be delivered!

I ordered two pizzas at 10.11pm. By 10.26pm it was showing as 'cutting and checking' on the delivery status update. At 11.38pm, as I am writing this review, it is still showing as 'cutting and checking' and there is no sign of my pizza being delivered.

Twice I have both called and emailed. Both were not responded to.

Papa Johns have taken my money and not delivered my pizzas. I am fuming, as well as starving!

UPDATE NEXT DAY OF ORDER I checked the app at lunchtime the day after my order and it was still showing as 'cutting and checking'!

Nobody had responded to my emails, so I called again and asked to make a complaint. The person who took my call did not apologise at all and said the manager would call me back at 4pm. I waited until 5.30pm and as the manager still hadn't called, I called again. The person who answered and asked what my problem was also didn't apologise.

I got the speak to the manager who wouldn't give me her name and also didn't apologise when I explained what had happened. The manager was extremely rude and kept talking over me, telling me Papa Johns has taken on an external company to provide delivery services and they didn't have a driver last night and this often happens. I had to explain to the manager that surely a Papa Johns employee should then call me to explain that my pizzas that had been paid for and were supposedly cooked and checked were not going to get delivered. Such basic customer service seemed alien to the manageress.

I asked for the manageress' boss' name and contact details so I could make a complaint. She wouldn't provide me with either her or her boss' names.

To add insult to injury, I had to tell the manageress that she needs to refund me for the pizzas that weren't delivered. I will put money on the fact Papa Johns would not have refunded my money if I wouldn't have been...

Waited an hour for order to be delivered. No sign. Phone up (wait 10 minutes for them answer the phone). Told pizza is just being made and we can have 50% off our next order. What makes you think I'm going to use you again after this? It's like saying "I tell you what we'll do ... we'll let you give us a little less money next time" (like a school bully with a conscience!). I refuse and they tell me there's nothing else I can do. I wait. Another hour goes by. Second call. Seriously taking the f*** p now. I'm told that our pizzas are due to go out shortly. So it really took you an hour to make them and bake them (it was 2 large pizzas and a side of garlic bread - not a lot to ask). Cancelled and went to Indian takeaway. Pizzas are nice, but overpriced and completely pointless if they can't deliver because they have taken too many orders - surely it's not beyond the realms of reasonability to expect to be told when ordering (online) that there...

AVOID FOR YOUR OWN SAFTY!! ALL FOOD IS CROSS CONTAMINATED THE ARE BEAR HANDING THE CHICKEN STRAIGHT INTO WITH PORK SALAMI ECT ECT THE CHEESE TOUCHING TILLS MONEY AND THEN HANDS BACK INTO THE RAW FOOD THEY DON'T WASH THERE HANDS AT ALL THEY DON'T USE GLOVES AND THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE GLOVES ON THE PREMISIS WHICH THE ADMITED TO ME AS I ASKED THEM DON'T BOTHER COMPLAINING TO THE STAFF AT THE BRANCH AS THEY DON'T SPEAK A WORD OF ENGLISH TO THE POINT I COUDENT EVEN ORDER OVER THE COUNTER WHICH IS WHERE I WATCHED THEM PERSONALLY DO THESE THINGS AND CARRY ON LIKE IT'S OK
