Absolutely awful! We’ve visited here 3 times and they have been lovely with perfect customer service and lovely food, but we’ve visited here tonight and they have been so rude to us. Watching us like hawks making us feel uncomfortable because 2 of us had the all you can eat menu where as the other two just had a normal meals, and they were watching that the other two didn’t pick any from the “all you can eat” meals. It was just so uncomfortable!! And when I asked for plain chow mien it came out not plain, but I didn’t complain I just picked out the veg and ate the noodles and the chicken, and when she came back to the table when we asked for more food she was moaning at me that I didn’t eat the bean sprouts and so we couldn’t have any more main meals because I didn’t finish mine?? When I told her I asked for plain she began to argue with me and tell me I didn’t ask for plain etc. I didn’t try and take it back or complain I just picked out the bits I didn’t like and ate what I could and therefore got treated like a naughty child that couldn’t have anything else because I didn’t eat my bean sprouts. In the end we were able to order more but throughout the rest of the meals she was rude and snatching the menus from us and throwing the meals down and being so rude, abrupt and short with us all, this was from the minute go, she was rude to other people around the restaurant too! They were so lovely near Christmas time constantly asking if the food was okay and talking to us and hugging us and this time they have been so awful! Not to mention the food takes forever to come out of the kitchen, was sitting waiting to order main meals for about 15 minutes while we watched the woman scroll on her phone. Definitely will not be coming back here, waste of our money and time we have all came out in a...
Read moreEating with a group friends. We were sat at a table designed for 6-8 people, but there were 10 of us. It was so cramped I couldn't even lift both my arms up at the same time to eat. (I'm not big) I had to sit slightly side-on, not nice. We all paid £16.50 each for all you can eat, which is a tad expensive. If it's all you can eat, why on earth were we charged £2 for each small bowl of prawn crackers to have with our soup? never seen this before. Oh, and I asked for won-ton soup, but they don't do it on the all-you-can-eat.
The food wasn't too bad, I'd say slightly lower than average for this sort of thing. The deep-fried food was VERY greasy though, especially the prawn toast. If you squeezed it, a lot of grease poured out.
They use too much chemical meat tenderiser, so the chicken and beef is like jelly or soft rubber.
Drinks. A £5 bottle of prosecco cost us £18, I would expect to pay around £10-£12 for this anywhere else. I also had a pint of Coke which tasted awful, the kind of cola that you would pay 20p for a 2lt bottle in a supermarket. I also had a bottle of Kopparberg cider. Now, everywhere else you go, these bottles are 500ml, but this one was only around half that, really small. (didn't even know they came in tiny bottles)
We went in June, so it was quite warm, but it was 9pm so slightly cooler outside, but it was VERY warm inside, no fans, no air-con...nothing. I used about 6 napkins mopping the sweat from my head.
I won't be going there again. There is a place down the road called Chinese Kitchen which I've heard is better. I'll be trying...
Read moreDined here many of times, its under new management and there really lovely, food is the same, delicious and always piping hot. The new manager can't do enough for you, they go out of there way to accommodate you. I'd honestly say this is the best Chinese in wallasey. We had the all you can eat buffet and stuffed our faces, way to much food but omg the taste is out of this world and food quality is just the best. we had a family meal for a birthday and they even gave our friend a 🎁 present, come on what restaurant does that. we have tried a few Chinese restaurants in wallasey but you can not beat the new ying King. 100% recommended, 1..food is piping hot. 2.. plenty of delicious food. 3.. staff are very friendly. the manager is lovely and can't do enough for you. 5.. great atmosphere. 6..under £20 for as much you can eat and that includes duck. 7.the only down fall is we can't go every night haha. 8.. they are open 6 days a week..closed Tuesday. 9.. dine in, take out or get a delivery, we've had a few deliveries and even there drivers are very friendly. 10.. I cannot recommend this place enough, 11.. Gordon Ramsey couldn't do food like these. Get yourself down there and fill ya boots, you will not be disappointed believe me. I'd recommend booking though as it...
