I absolutely love Elachi! After recently moving to Wallasey, I was on the lookout for a place that could serve me a delicious, satisfying curry, and Elachi has definitely exceeded all my expectations. I decided to get a takeaway, and from the moment I placed my order, I could tell I was in for something special.
Being a fan of spicy food, my first choice had to be the Phal, and wow… just wow! It was an experience from start to finish. The heat was absolutely perfect, pushing my limits just enough, but without compromising on flavor. The meat was tender, juicy, and generously portioned, while the sauce had the ideal balance of bold spices and richness. Every bite was a celebration of spice, with a perfect ratio of heat to flavor that left me craving more. I was literally saying "wow" after every bite! It’s clear they really know what they’re doing when it comes to crafting the perfect curry.
Even though I enjoyed it from the comfort of my home, the flavors and quality were so spot-on that it truly felt like a special dining experience. At this point, I’ve built up quite the tolerance, so my next challenge will be the Triple Phal, and I can’t wait to take it on! If it’s anything like the regular Phal, I know I’m in for an unforgettable experience.
But beyond the heat, the true standout of Elachi is the sheer quality of their curries. They’re beautifully made, with deep, complex flavors that you just can't find everywhere. Every dish feels like it’s been prepared with care, using the freshest ingredients and a skillful hand. If you’re looking for a curry that tastes extraordinary, Elachi is definitely the place to go. It’s hands down my new favorite spot, and I'm now a ...
Read moreWent to Elachi online to look at the prices for 2 mushroom fried rice, one meat platter, 1 chicken tikka starter and 2 popadoms for a total of £17.90. Drove to the restaurant and ordered face to face, only to be told that the total was £22. Obviously I was taken aback so I picked up a menu that was on the front counter and the items still did not add up to £22. Also not happy with the fact that I am talking to him and he answers the phone and interrupts the conversation even when there was another staff member standing there doing nothing., who could have dealt with the call. After the fella gets off the phone more than 2 minutes later, I explained that I should be paying the prices listed in the menu. Stay with me as this gets even more unpleasant for customer service, as the fella says I cannot sell you food based on the prices in the menu as the menu is an old menu and he has to charge the prices that are programmed into the till and would need to call his boss. I explained that it is unlawful to misrepresent goods based on the paper menu compared to the prices on the till and that his boss should know this and inform customers of what they really should be paying. I left after telling the staff that I wanted to leave the order and it seems they don’t mind hard earned money walking out of the door due to poor communication, customer service and an owner who puts prices up however forgets to make customers aware. Very disappointed to say...
Read moreDecided to try this curry house for a change from our regular Risa spice. The food was OK but didn't think much to the choice for the £11.95 deal. I think there was only 2 starters you were allowed and a couple of mains boiled rice was the only option and a plain bread so you had to pay the difference on each item bumping your bill up. We were in a large family group with children from the age of 3 to 6 and they all had water bottles which we were told was not allowed they had to purchase soft drinks, my grandchildren do not drink sugary drinks only water and milk the lady said she would let it go this time in which my son offered to pour the drinks away and she could refill with more water she declined this. We also had a family member who is a wheelchair user and there is no access to the restaurant because of steps at the entrance and also inside to use toilets etc we were told that we should of told them when booking as they have a ramp but is at the back of the garage and they would dig it out for next time so had to carry her back out at the end of our meal if this had been mentioned on the website when we booked obviously we would of requested the ramp i suppose we just took for granted that the restaurant would be accessible to all their customers. As i said earlier the food was decent but was a lot dearer than the headline price of £11. 95 after you pay for...
