Zeera Tandoori — Restaurant in Wirral

We booked a table for 3 at Zeera Tandoori a week in advance for my brothers birthday based on 4.7 reviews, fairly new to the area and book places based on reviews. VERY disappointed in everything especially the food, starters two of us ordered the samosas, both starters were still frozen solid in the middle, I would of thought these were made fresh and not come out the freezer, obviously sent them back and manager apologised . Main courses arrived a dishes were held in waiters bare hands, seemed odd as normal Indian restaurants they are sizzling and cannot touch or served on hot plate . All was luke warm inc Tandoori king prawns which were pretty cold, they offered to warm them but then told they will go rubbery, if served when they cooked they would of been hot and no need to reheat them. We decided to finish up drinks and leave. They did take off the bill the frozen samosas and the cold prawn main course and complimented the drink but this didn't change the fact this was a ruined and embarrassing birthday meal out. We will not be returning, never experienced such cold food in this style...

Been coming to Zeera for over 7 years and have always loved it and never had a bad word to say and I don't like leaving bad reviews. I have always recommended it to family and friende but had a takeaway from there on 27.09.25 and the quality of the chicken was awful, really chewy and barely able to eat it. Ended up leaving a lot of it. I remember their chicken used to be really soft and great quality so not sure if they've changed supplier. We also rang to order the takeaway and got told someone would be with us in a minute, then just left on the phone for 3 minutes with no one getting back to us? I understand if you are busy (which it was when we went in to collect) but I would say just don't answer the phone at all then. We then hung up and rang again and were told the same thing, however, luckily the second time it was only less than a minute later they did take our order. We came here for our anniversary last Saturday as we were in the area. Our first time visiting as we already have 2 Indian restaurants we love and visit regularly. The food was great, and the server was really helpful in answering our questions about the menu. The only thing that let this place down and the reason I am giving 4 stars is the drinks. We ordered spirits with mixers that came flat and also a small bottle of prosecco, which was served warm. When we brought this to a member of staffs attention, they suggested putting ice in the drink to solve the issue. We ordered water for the rest of our meal as the drinks were too pricey to be served at such a low standard. I say this as constructive criticism as we were here to celebrate and would have ordered more drinks and spent more money. The rest of the meal really was great, the food was on par with our regular Indian restaurants so it was a shame something that could be easily fixed let...
