Greggs — Restaurant in Wolverhampton

Visited here with my partner on Wednesday 6th August at approx 4pm for our click and collect order of two hot drinks and a pizza and biscuit.

On collecting our order,I heard team member Beth tell my partner that because it's a click and collect order,we can't consume it on the premises as it would be liable to V.A.T.

We only planned on consuming our hot drinks in store especially as drinks are the same price whether you consume them sitting in shop or take out whilst consuming our food purchase when we got home.

Beth told us that she'd let us stay on this occasion but we decided to leave straight away as we didn't feel comfortable staying in there!

On getting home,i emailed Greggs customer services to find out what the policy was for customers who wished to consume their click and collect drinks in-store and the response i received within 25 hours read....."If you place a Click and Collect Order, this is meant to be enjoyed as a takeaway item, however it is up to the discretion of our team members if they allow you to sit in the shop.' If Beth had told us if we sat in,we couldn't consume our food but only our drinks due to VAT reasons,we would have been okay about it especially as we didn't plan on consuming our food in store anyway. Delivery orders are a bit hit and miss lately from this outlet. Second time in a row that the sausage and bacon baguette contains no sausage. And the shop markings on the end of the wrapper shows it wasn't included, despite order receipt clearly showing what was ordered. Last time we were also missing drinks.

Update 12/02/24 Ordered a cold sandwich meal deal consisting of a sandwich and a drink, and they missed out the drink. Is it incompetency and they can't do the job correctly, or imbeciles that don't know how to do the job. Jesus christ there's two items in a meal deal, and you forgot...

Ordered via Uber eats and only ordered 3 breakfast meal deals. Was sent the 3 drinks, but only 2 of the sandwiches. My daughter’s sausage bap was left out, meaning she was without breakfast. They can’t even get the simplest of orders correct - god forbid what would happen if someone actually made a large order! I won’t be using them again. Thanks for making my daughter upset. Food was also stone cold when we received it and our drinks hadn’t been sealed properly so had spilled. Can’t seem to get...
