The Royal Tiger - JD Wetherspoon — Restaurant in Wolverhampton

Weatherspoons (The Royal Tiger) in Wednesfield, is a very nice place to sit down, have a drink and enjoy food. Me and my wife were joined by a few others so we had a small party. It was also the Christmas switch on in Wednesfield and the pub itself was absolutely full to the block with people and every seat taken.

The atmosphere was fantastic. A fully seated pub with everyone enjoying Thier food and drink.

I myself had ordered a chicken strips and chips meal for £6.50. You get 5 chunky pieces of lovely battered crispy chicken fillet strips served with the lovely chunky chips from weatherspoons, accompanied by a pot of Jack Daniels honey BBQ sauce. Went down an absolute treat. Everyone else had a large mixed grill.

And despite the pub itself bring completely full, the service from table waiters was fantastic throughout. We did not have to wait very long at all. I was expecting a long wait since it was a full pub and nearly everyone was ordering food but I did not expect my meal plus all those other mixed grills to arrive in under 20 mins!

Food was so nice ended staying for desert too, so I had the Apple crumble with custard. They don't hold back either! Amazing sized generous portion of Apple crumble completely layered in hot custard ♥️♥️♥️ Good combination of sweet and tangy apple with also a hint of cinnamon spice involved. Very warming and comforting Indeed.

Extremely fast service regardless of the pubs full capacity. We had a table waiter regularly come over to us every now n and then just to make sure everything was ok with our meals and drinks, and the staff here really do care about Thier customers.

I have to be honest in saying that not all weatherspoons are the same but this particular one in Wednesfield shines out from others that I've visited around the region.

Bubbly staff, great atmosphere, fast service, and great food and drink, what more could you want from a simple night out. Best part is for a party of four people all with good and drink for 2 and half hours of stay, the total spend was under £50!!

Not only great food and atmosphere but you don't have to worry about breaking the bank either. For a good all round budget you can really enjoy your time at this pub and the service does not hold back.

Went here for my brothers birthday and the customer service was appaling when we arrived at 8 we were informed that we would have to leave at half 9 beacuse my brother was 16 wich i did not have a problem with but after everyone made a desision as to what they were having as there was quiet a few of us (7 people)it was about 20 past 8 and we ordered food the food eventually came out to the table around 8:55 so we didnt have long to have our meals but the meals were not up to standard as the onion rings were soggy the chilli con carni had little to no meat in but despite the food taking ages to arrive at our table and the food not being great we got finished our food by half 9 and started to get our things together to leave whilst the entire time being stared at and given dirty looks by the bar staff. As we were leaving at 9:32 we walked out and said thank you but just as we were about to go out of the door a young woman came behind the bar and said very rudly " thanks for letting us stay longer oh no problem" witch i found to be very disrespectful espesially when we had spent around 80/90 pound in there and we stayknv in there an extra 2 minuets of what was asked will never be...

When I was younger, I went in here a few times, I'll be honest I really disliked it. Going back many years on, on a solo, now with my kids all I can say the STAFF make this. They are so engaging, service, food and hospitality is great. I went with the kids tonight and we found some "eggs" outside. Little did we know, cause we did, the manager and staff rewarded the kids with some chocolates. The lady that was waiting on us tonight was just lovely, all ways smiling and really encouraging to my daughter. Honestly, great team, great work and my opinion has changed at this place from years ago. Baring in mind alot of the staff are "young" for the want of a better word, they are just cracking.
