Spice River — Restaurant in Wolverhampton

Disgusted with attitude of Manager We always use Spice River, Today we ordered King Prawn Korma £9.50 Chicken Passanda £7.95 & Chicken Tikka Masala £7.95

Sauce, Naan etc fine but 4 prawns for £9.50 5 small bits of chicken in Masala 6 small bits of chicken in Passanda Tubs full of sauce but 4 PRAWNS? less than half a chicken breast in each chicken dish!!!

I called to complain, they spoke with chef who stated he puts 8 prawns in & 8 pieces of chicken in each. I asked If believe chef or customer, he said what can we do. I said at least £10 should be refunded from the £41 cost.

I was offered £10 off our next order, I explained we wouldn't order again as might get a problem again.

The person on phone spoke with manager again but refused to refund £10. I asked If happy for me to leave a bad review & would never use them again & just said thank you.

What a rip off, If I sat Inside I would have sent meal back!

Picture this.. your working away staying in a hotel, gagging for a bosting curry. You order your food and it hits you.. how will i eat it? Its lockdown, the hotel restaurant is closed and they are unable to provide a plate or cutlery. I ring up the curry house (Spice River) and tell them my dilemma. The guy on the phone says I got you man "you've got to enjoy your food". He shouldn't do it but he did it anyway and placed some of their silverware in with my order. Absolute life saver going above and beyond to ensure that I enjoyed my food! And as for the food.. the curry was absolutely top notch! Had myself some Arabian Rice to go with it which I have never experienced before and it was bloody delicious! Would definitely recommend it. Will 100% be ordering again if im ever back in the area and cannot recommend this...

Really nice and clean, food very tasty and friendly staff, have been here quite a lot, always a great time, however recently returned to find soft drinks no longer allowed to be bought in by yourself, whilst I dont mind purchasing the soft drinks here, I did feel a little ripped off, it was almost £4.00 for a large coca cola, this was poured from 2 cans of pop,, so I felt this to be rather expensive, its not as if they have pumps to maintain, also my glass didn't completely empty the two cans, but I was not offered the remainder of which I had paid for. So yes, great night, great food, great service, but really don't like being ripped off for the drinks, which I have to have as I'm the driver of our group, cheaper to bring your own alcohol.
