We've ordered takeaway multiple times from here and today we ate in for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised with the the establishment. It's rather small but quaint and cozy, with a nice vibe and good traditional Greek music.
During the short wait for our food we flickered through the little booklet next to the table, learned some titbits about ancient Greece and had a couple of chuckles at the puns in it.
The food was an absolute banger as usual! We had the loaded chicken souvlaki meal which was piping hot, perfectly seasoned, fresh, with some of the tenderest chicken I've ever had, lovely fresh pita drizzled with olive oil and a generous portion of chips, sprinkled with soumak. Oh, and the feta dip, is to die for!
For dessert, my partner had the chocolate wrap and I had the baklava. They were both freshly made, delicious and very generously portioned (as was the main course, I should add).
Our waiter, who's name I either didn't catch or I've forgotten (which is rather typical of me, so sorry!) was very friendly and helpful!
We also met Dimitris due to my curiosity about the 3D printed menu holders which resemble socles/columns. We had a quick chat about it and he was even nice enough to provide me with the digital file! Dimitris, if you're reading this, thank you, you're a gentleman!
Overall very happy with the food and the dine-in experience. I don't know if it was the food, the music, the interactions or a combination of all of the above but it definitely put us in a really nice mood and we made some lovely memories.
We'll definitely be back to try the moussaka as I've only heard good things about it!
(Sorry about the lack of pictures, the food smelled so good, I started digging in straight away haha. l make sure to take some next time!).
10/10, I can't recommend...
Read moreVisited eat greek at Norton parish Hall, when they used to deliver we were loyal customers & used to love everything we ordered, however we were truly disappointed when we ordered Friday they don't hate gluten free pitas which as a ceoliac is a massive shame & leaves a now already limited menu lacking for gluten allergies, the fallafel had changed for the worse they were dry & unappealing, the paprika dip was a travesty compared to what it was,it used to have delicious little pieces of vegan feta & we would order 2 big pots now its more like a disappointing tomato dip, the chips were extremely soggy & frankly stone cold which as we ate on a bench by the van straight away was completely unacceptable & the "salad" in the box meal which consists of just a couple of pieces of plain undressed limp tomato & onion it was just horrible, I hate wasting food but I threw away my box meal after 1 or 2 bites as it was unediable £14 down the drain which was steep for a few soggy chips & a couple of dry fallafel, my husband & son ate most their wraps but only due the fact they were very hungry but both were unhappy with them & said they wouldnt ever eat there again. I cannot believe how downhill it has gone, used to be Fantastic what a shame, we won't...
Read moreWe found Vicky at Eat Greek through recommendations online and contacted her to do the food for our wedding. She was great to work with, very accomodating and advised what would be the best food combinations. We decided on chicken souvlaki with various dips, which were delicious, with a cold buffet which had amazing choices. Vicky arrived early to set up (outside gazebo) and then returned to serve the guest as agreed. Everything went really smoothly.
EVERYBODY at the wedding RAVED about the food and even the picker eaters loved it. The vegetarian and vegan options were also delicious, so everyone was catered for brilliantly.
We would not hesitate to have Vicky and the team at Eat Greek to come and do any future events we have, and would highly recommend them.
Ironically we had our honeymoon in Crete and feel the Greek food from Eat Greek was the best we have had. We'll be visiting the restaurant soon.
Thank you Vicky and everyone...
