I found this place while looking for somewhere to eat during a day out with my 17 year old son. It was very busy, and we were lucky to get a table. All of the servers were friendly and helpful. As soon as we sat down, one of them took our drinks order. A short while later, another came to take our food order. There is quite a lot of choice on the menu - burgers, jacket potatoes, fish and chips, lasagne, and more. I had the fish cakes (2 fish cakes) in chilli sauce. That came with a salad of leaves, tomato, cucumber, and onion. It was larger than I'd expected! The coating was a little crunchier than I'd prefer but they were nice. My son had fish and chips with mushy peas, which he enjoyed. The fish was a good size. Price was reasonable - for the two very filling meals and two cokes, was about £34. Disabled access - ground floor. It's a bit cramped so difficult for wheelchairs/pushchairs/walking aids. Wheelchair users just about managed to get between the tables but was tricky.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here, roasts are only £10 each with a choice of beef and Yorkshire, chicken and stuffing or a mushroom tart. We didn't have to wait for a table, there was plenty of room. The portions are good and food was cooked fresh, the roasters were beautiful and there was extra gravy on the table. Would definitely return again, staff were really attentive and was a nice atmosphere. Only issue was the cider was a bit flat but they changed it for us.

We had a one night stop over in Worcester after visiting the cathedral we called in here for lunch and a drink, the tradition of the pub is so lovely, it was busy with what was nice to see regulars who must enjoy it that much they return, we had homemade shepherd's pie which was very popular so we had an extra wait but it was so worth it, we had a lovely time here and if ever we are back in Worcester would definitely return, 5 star 🌟

We wanted to find a reasonably priced room with parking in the town centre of Worcester which is not very easy. ||Originally we were booked into Fownes Hotel last year ,but they cancelled our booking with Booking .com stating they were overbooked. Booking. com offered us similar alternatives but none had parking.||I agree with all of David's points in his review last November about the accommodation. Our last twin room [no Doubles left] was really very small and dated but I would have said very clean had I not checked under the beds before leaving. The carpet was extremely very dusty and it was obvious that it had only been vacuumed between the beds for some time. I'm sure this can be quickly and easily rectified.||It is in a very convenient position for the Huntingdon Hall [4 minutes walk away] where I went to see a show.||My husband spent a nice evening in the pub downstairs and talking to locals he discovered it is a very popular place in Worcester. We didn't eat there so can't comment on the food. No Breakfast was available.||It was quite noisy when we went to bed at 11.30pm outside the room for about 20 minutes but that is often the case on a Saturday night as people argue leaving various pubs in city centres.||Wi-Fi had to paid for but there was a good selection of Tea/Coffee/ Hot Chocolate plus Biscuits. ||Also a Shower Cap and Shaving Kit in the bathroom which is unusual often these days.||We paid just over £70 for the room only, it would have been £76 but Booking. com had a special offer on and paid some of the charge.|| I think staying in Worcester again we would be paying more...
