Nando's Worcester — Restaurant in Worcester

28/7/21: We so love Nando's and haven't been until now here in Worcester. The staff were welcoming, very friendly and helpful. We got a table immediately and masks were left to the discretion of the diners. The cleansing station is still in place and the onus is on the visiting clients. This Nando's in Worcester had a very Portuguese African ethnic feel and decor which was lovely to see and feel especially with the African Portuguese artwork around on the interior walls to accentuate this. Also lots of African Portuguese music playing in the background was uplifting and pleasantly different. The toilets were spotlessly clean and warmly decorated too.

We had the peri-peri chicken with me opting for the "EXTRA HOT" one. We loved our meal and the chicken was delicious and perfect along with the peri-salted chips. My green salad was very fresh and tasty and the coleslaw was creamy and delicious too.

For drinks, I had a bottle of the Portuguese "Sagres" beer/lager whilst the better half had a bottle of the absolutely amazing Portuguese 2018 Rose "Cara Viva", wow and what an excellent Rose wine.. My better half ordered a bottle by mistake instead of a large glass of this Rose so I had to obligingly help her drink it...perfect darling, thanks..oops!!

For pudding, I had two Portuguese "pasteis de nata/custard tarts" whilst my better half had the absolutely delicious "White Choc and Raspberry cheesecake"

NanDON'T accidentally order 5 minutes before closing otherwise you'll be sorely disappointed.

We ordered through Deliveroo at 21:24 the other day and were told our food would be delivered between 21:45 and 22:00. Everything was normal until I received three varying notifications from Deliveroo, two different drivers were assigned and then apparently Nandos was very busy and our food would be ready soon. This kept happening, swapping between "Nandos is busy" and "Your driver is waiting", eventually changing to "Your food will be no later than 22:20" and "This restaurant is now closed"

We had not known before ordering at 21:24 that Nandos was apparently closing at 21:30 (According to the times on Google) and this likely caused us to get awful, cold, stale food that had likely only just dodged the bin, if it wasn't pulled out of it.

The state of the chicken pitta (picture attached) was abysmal. Three rotten pieces of lettuce, two tomato SKINS and approximately half a chicken breast. My 1/2 chicken and chips was almost plain and cold, even though I selected Vusa seasoning.

I had to argue with Deliveroo, initially offering me only a £9 refund but eventually received the full order cost back. I will not be ordering Nando's...
