I went to Jonny's last night with my partner and another couple. After asking THREE times where our drinks were and waiting 30 mins, they finally came. The food was served without cutlery and we weren't offered any condiments.
Jonnys has a responsibility as a licensed pub to refuse serving people who are too drunk. A 54 year old woman on the table next to us had been served too much alcohol. She tripped over a chair and hit the floor straight on her face. There was blood everywhere, coming out of her nose, she couldn't stand and wouldn't communicate, drifting in and out of consciousness. Two of the waitresses came over but they were very young and didn't seem to know what to do, we were expecting the owner, Jonny, to come out and give some assistance, but he didn't bother.
I had no choice but to help, I phoned an ambulance, got her in the recovery position, and helped as much as I could. My partner and friends stood at either end of the road, waiting for the ambulance, asked Jonny for an ice pack for her face, a bucket, tissues for the blood and a blanket so she didn't get cold. By this point the waitresses had gone back to work so myself and my friends were left to deal with the situation on Jonnys property alone.
40 minutes later, the ambulance arrived, so we decided it was time we left. We recieved a brief 'thanks' from Jonny (that's it!). We were left feeling disgusted with the service Jonnys provided in the first place and the complete disregard for customer care and safety. I understand they may have been busy but theres no excuse. What's shocking is the utter ungrateful attitude to my table who had our entire night ruined...
Read moreHave visited Jonnys in Worthing before just for coffee so decided to check out the food and have to say was sorely disappointed.
Ordered the coronation chicken sandwich for £9 and was expecting a scooby size snack. It came on white bloomer sliced bread but I have got bath sponges bigger than the slices used and to be honest the bread was drier than a wet bath sponge. It tasted like it had been left out to dry so almost stale.
The filling was hardly generous as there was no more than a tablespoon of chicken and a slice of tomato. Other coronation chicken I have tried had sultanas included in the mix so this seemed very basic and slap dash.
The garnish was just some soggy rocket on the side and not even a handful of crisps or nachos to compliment things.
We asked for mayonnaise and where delighted when the waitress bought over a Heinz bottle and not the thimble sized plastic sachets you sometimes get elsewhere but the bottle was empty .. so clearly no attention paid to what was given to us.
When we enquired about the burgers coming with chips it was a flat straight no ... they had to be ordered as a side. Just felt like another way to squeeze every penny out of the customer by charging for chips with a burger!
The coke and lemonade were almost £5 per drink so nearly as much as an alcaholic drink.
The service was so slow the food took ages to arrive and it really wasn't worth the wait
I have to say overall the whole experience was disappounting and over priced I'd rather check out other places to eat next time I'm...
Read moreOrdered three full English breakfasts through Just Eats last Sunday 30/10/2022 at 09:59 and the bill came to over £60. The food arrived at 12:20 pm cold and congealed and I had to throw it all away. I had spoken to Jonny’s earlier to find out where my order was to be spoken to in a rude member of staff who told me I had only placed the order after 10:00 am even though Just Eats had time stamped it at 09:59. I put in a request for a refund through Just Eats who have this morning informed me that they have credited me with a £21 refund. Absolutely disgraceful. Jonny’s is obviously another business that is so busy that it does not consider decent customer service to be of any importance. I will never get the disgraceful refund of £21 from Just Eats because I will never use use them or Jonny’s again. I note the reply from Jonny’s below which does nothing to address the fact that my guests were served up with cold congealed breakfasts which had to be dumped. I have deleted Just Eats from my system and will never use them or Jonny’s again. I do however realise that I am just a small fish in a big pond and that my opinions and experience with these two are probably totally irrelevant in the grand scale of things. There is no excuse for the bad...
