G-Lite Casual Italian kitchen, Pizza, Gelato, Coffee & Bar — Restaurant in Worthing

I was lucky enough to win a competition on the Worthing and Adur Food and Drink group for 2 free pizzas at G-Lite & so my father & I went for dinner.

From the moment we walked in & throughout our meal we were greeted & spoken to in a really warm, polite & welcoming manner by both Francesco and Andrea - they're both very attentive, friendly & really pleasant to deal with. Both of them constantly had a smile on their faces & it created a really nice atmosphere in the restaurant.

They have a huge selection of pizzas & they all sounded delicious, so it was difficult to choose! They have four different vegan ones too, which is great to see that vegans have a few options to choose from.

We had the Truffle & Porchini pizza & the Four Cheese pizza - they were both absolutely delicious! Definitely the best pizza we've ever had; you can tell it's freshly made. Both pizzas were thin, crispy & had so much flavour.

For dessert I had the chocolate & Hazelnut cream Cannelloni which was to die for! The pastry was lovely & crispy & the filling was so rich. My father had the Tiramisu & that was really tasty too. Both desserts were presented beautifully as well.

The restaurant has a lovely display of ice creams/gelato & delicious looking cakes which looked irresistible, so we brought home a slice each of the Lemon & Blueberry cake & the Kinder Cookie cake. Both slices were a very generous portion. My father loved the Lemon & Blueberry cake & I really enjoyed the Kinder Cookie cake! It was devine - it had a nice crispy edge but it was still gooey in the middle; it was absolutely delicious!

We both agreed we had the best meal we've had for a long time & highly recommend here - not just for the food, but for the lovely service as well.

Me and a couple of my friends went to G-Lite for some dinner. None of us had been before, so we thought we'd give it a try.

It was a Wednesday evening, 6pm, and luckily it was a nice day (sunny) so we grabbed a table outside. Watch out for any cheeky seagulls nearby(!). My friend fetched a menu from indoors as we couldn't find a server. A nice waitress came over to us to take our order - we made our order (the waitress did not write anything down), and only had to wait a short while for our drinks. I ordered the Green Mandarin soft drink - bionic green in colour but very, very tasty! I recommend this if you love lime flavour. My friend, however, received a limonata instead of a diet coke. Granted, she didn't mind. But perhaps if the waitress wrote our full order down, this may have been avoided.

Our food came after around a 15-20 minute wait. The food portions are plentiful (reflected in the prices) and tasty. My meal wasn't piping hot unfortunately, so my Spaghetti Carbonara went cold in a matter of minutes... So this got a little more difficult to eat. We ordered two portions of rosemary and parmesan fries which were tasty but rather dry (due to the parmesan, which is expected), and one portion to share would have been enough.

The bill came to £70 for the 3 of us, including a Service Charge (which we were unaware of) of £6.91**. 2 main meals, 2 rosemary fries, 3 soft drinks and 2 dishes from the Street Food section (calzone & arancini).

Overall, it was a nice and filling Italian meal. Next time, I may just visit to try their gelato and cakes as they looked amazing.

**Edit: Both myself and my friends have worked in Hospitality, so we understand how much tips/service charge make...

I ordered a pizza and some other items to be delivered via deliveroo. When the pizza arrived it had all slid to one side of the box. It was disgusting. I called Giuseppe's Lite as I was not accepting the pizza like this. I first got a young lady on the phone who told me I called the wrong nr, which was a lie. After double checking the nr I called again and miracle of miracles they found my order! When I told them what had happened and that I was requesting a refund I was told I had to contact Deliveroo for this. I had requested a refund for the WHOLE order as the state of the pizza put me right off. Giuseppe's Lite has great food but the customer service is really bad! I was told to contact Deliveroo for the refund and while I was asking why I was passed onto an older lady who would not 3even listen to me. She spoke over me and was very rude! This is not how you talk to customers! I used to order all the time from Giuseppe's but this really bad experience of your customer service and lying has put me right off. Good luck to you....no idea what happend. Maybe management has changed but this service is really bad and I will not be ordering from...
