I went to Oconnors on a Saturday afternoon recently for a family reunion (15 of us) 13 years since we have all seen each other in the same room! My family are very fond of Jamaican food and the chef kindly said he would do us a spread and I can honestly say, the food was absolutely amazing! He even made us a pineapple cake and Jamaican mess for dessert! We had Jerk chicken drumsticks, rice and peas, a really lovely pasta salad and the nicest salad bowl Iāve ever eaten (he said he added some pineapple juice to it!) the bbq chicken goujons were really yummy! The bread and olives were a lovely touch! Iām sorry I didnāt take any pics! We are all gannets and it was dived into before I could grab a pic! š„° We were absolutely stuffed and there was loads of food! All different flavours and just so tasty! All the staff are very welcoming and professional. Thank you so much again guys! I couldnāt have asked for any better! Will definitely be arranging another get together...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe staff has become utterly incompetent! If you buy a drink and step onto the dance floor, the employees quickly snatch away your glasses, not caring that there are still drinks left in them. When my husband confronted them about this, they refused to sell us any more drinks and even had the audacity to tell both of us to leave the premises, all because my husband was standing up for our rights! How can they justify taking full glasses of drinks that we paid for right off our table?
This place used to be one of my favorite spots to visit on weekends, but now Iām terrified to step inside, not knowing when Iāll be mistreated or thrown out. The staff treats you like youāre worthless, and it completely ruined our evening and left us feeling upset for days. The manager ran away and hid to avoid taking responsibility, while the bartenders were outright rude and arrogant.
Itās a disgrace, and the entire experience was nothing but...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had arranged to meet my daughter at midday today at occonors on Warwick street. However on arrival I was unable gain entry as the disabled entry door had two no entry signs displayed on the glass window of the door, and the door was locked. The only other entrance could only be reached by using two concrete steps which is totally inadequate if using a walking frame or wheelchair, I was had no other choice but to wait outside in the cold. While iwas waiting outside a family walked by with a man in a wheelchair and they noticed the signs on the door and remarked" we can't go in there then". I fail to understand how a company as big as Greeneking think it is acceptable to discriminate against the Less fortunate...
