Update we went again yesterday first time since the below the Pizza like last time was fantastic went for their guest pizza option. However a 55 minute wait when the restaurant wasn’t full was quite excessive but in fairness they did apologise. Service was better as well as nobody seemed to bother with the QR code they just waited on everyone. Cheesecake was also available still at 7:30pm so that was also great and it’s a very good cheesecake with a nice compote. Some people came in at 7 and had their four pizzas in ten minutes we only had two pizza so lesson learned don’t go at 6! ————————————————————————————— To start with the positives the Pizza is fantastic hands down best in Worthing and a reasonable price two pizza and two soft drinks £31 not bad service was quick as well, they have listened to other reviews and now give pizza slicers. What is not good is the service when we came in nobody explained the menu being on a QR code even though others where sat around with menu. There where only three staff members clearly stressed and overwhelmed, not a smile or how was the meal, they also don’t include everything on the QR menu so trying to ask for something was really hard especially more drinks on the bottomless soft drinks, they really need more staff to make this a pleasant eating experience. We went to order dessert it was only 1pm and they start lunch at 12 the cheesecake and custard tarts where sold out after 1 hour so stock is clearly an issue, the Mr whip was a big let down it has a very odd after taste I appreciate that is personal taste but it really wasn’t great and you can tell it’s not dairy. I would go back but maybe just for takeaway or wait until the dust on opening a new...
Read moreLocation- Very good location on the prom overlooking the beach. Good seating area outside. However, the restaurant is next to a tall apartment building, so even in the height of summer the outside seating starts losing the sun and is in the shade from about 3.00pm. The inside - A modern clean look with large window doors on all sides to allow for good views. Only one toilet, however it is very clean. Seats are metal and remind me of something you would see in a school dining hall. Food - The pizzas we had were very tasty. Service - nobody serving seemed over the age of 19. They were polite but seemed fairly uninterested. When we went it was a very cold night so sat inside. Some of the staff were going in and out and leaving the doors open. Five times I went up and either closed the doors or asked if they close them. They generally came across as being oblivious. It felt less of a restaurant and more a place where this group could hangout - customers just being incidental. Would I go again? - Although the food was good, you can get good pizza pretty much anywhere. The service is too lacking in attention. So I wouldn't go again for a meal, or recommend...
Read moreIf you live in Worthing, or are just visiting, this little gem of a restaurant is worth a visit! I’m surprised by how few locals don’t know about it when I recommend it, listing its family of restaurants in Lancing, or on the pier instead. I have to explain where it is and why they should try it for both the stunning views and excellent team lead by both the wonderful and always welcoming Beatrice and Diego. Beatrice is an asset to the place and always cheerful, warm and welcoming! She’s like an old friend now. The food is not bad too and as I’m usually counting cals and saving them for my vino or delicious shared ‘naughty nata’ the chef is always willing to adapt a dish for me! I’m sure she dreads us coming but Beatrice and team look after us so well and we aren’t easy customers! Definitely check out perch on the parade (formerly perch pizza and before that bayside social). I’d love to see the menu expand to include more small plates, prawns or some dish dishes, but slowly it has and is adding new and exciting additions! The outside in the summer will be where I’ll be ‘perched’ on my weekends but it will be getting busy so be...
