I recently visited The Land Oak pub in Kidderminster and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The service was also very quick, with my order being taken promptly and my food arriving in a timely manner. Speaking of the food, it was absolutely delicious. I was impressed with the range of options on the menu, from classic pub fare like fish and chips to more unique offerings like a goat's cheese and beetroot salad. My meal, a steak and ale pie, was cooked to perfection with a generous helping of tender meat and flavorful gravy. The portions were also very generous, and I definitely felt like I got my money's worth. In terms of atmosphere, The Land Oak has a cozy and inviting feel. The decor is warm and traditional, with plenty of seating options both indoors and out. There was a great buzz of conversation throughout the pub, which added to the overall ambiance. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at The Land Oak pub in Kidderminster. The friendly staff, quick service, and delicious food made for an enjoyable meal out, and I would definitely recommend this pub to others.

We have been coming to the restaurant for nearly 50 years. We booked on online for 12.00 on Saturday 23rd December 23. We were put at the back of the restaurant, next to the kids play area. The space was much colder than the rest of the restaurant. We asked for the heating to be put up, but this never seemed to happen. We ordered our food at 12.15. After several chases we finally got our starter at 13.00 (45mins). After several more chases our 1st main finally arrived at 13.25 and then over the course of the next 15 mins, the others arrived. The fish was terribly over cooked to the point of be inedible, one of our dishes came out wrong and had to be returned. A very disappointing experience!! As requested, I have emailed my contact details to the manager Two of the original party returned yesterday and had a significantly better experience. In all aspects food/service and atmosphere.

Nice place for standard British faire Just revisited for a father's day meal (June 2018) with my daughter. Have to say disappointed, the menu has shrunk considerably while the prices have expanded, not a good combo. Had 2 roast dinners, nice big Yorkshire pudding on top, unfortunately it was like card and inedible, the first slice of beef was very dry (must have have been on top under the warming lamp?), peas and carrots, only warm, roast potatoes... not really, more like boiled then thrown in a pan of oil for 1 min. Mashed potatoes, must have been Cadbury "smash " English mustard with zero bite to it and very little gravy on the plate. What has happened to this place? Bring back the wider menu. Only saving graces, the decor has improved and the staff are friendly. Previously rated by me at 4 stars, now only 2

Me and partner used that pub at least twice per month few years when it was two for one on meals always been amazing once it stopped it chnaged to a flamin grill if i remember we decided to try out the new refueb and menu and we both was utterly disapointed the food was horrendous paid good amount of money for two meals no qaulity no taste we eneded paying the bill and leaving our food few years later we noticed it has chnaged again for the the third time today my wife decided to treat us to a meal and asked if you fancy trying the land oak again after looking at the menu online we booked a table at 12.30. We arrived early and straight away we were greeted politely by a man didnt catch his name but was amazing he walked us to our table and offered us a high chair which he got from other side of seating area for our daugther the lady at the bar she to was very polite and took our order we had mix grill and hunters chicken the food arrived qoickly and was cooked and presented to perfection both plates were full and empty when we finished we asked for mustard with our meals and was given colmuns english mustard and noticed the rest of sauces were premiun brand and not this cheap satchets like everyone else the seating area was faultless ckean and well presented the toliets were also spotless and the bill came to aroubd £55 with starter two mains kids meal and 3 lots of drinks which is fantastic value for money along with qaulity and qaunity now the little bit that made it a pleasure there for what i can see was two memebrs of staff working the two that served us they were running front of house the bar and collecting meals from the kitchen aswell as jumping between tables as within 30 minutes of our visit the place was nearly full that man and women working there today need a huge credit not once did they show any sign of stress or any attitude they served everyone with a smile and cleary couldnt do enough for everyone think thats what done it for us absolute credit the pair of them if that pub stays the same then we will defientlty be back tine and time again well done land oak kiddiminster best dam food and servuce weve had...

Phoned up to make a late booking tonight they accommodated us we asked to come for 7.30 got told that wouldn't be ok and that 7.45 would be better. Upon arrival at 7.45 the place was dead plenty of tables so don't understand why the difference in time, but what does it matter. We were shown to the table and left to our own devices so continuously trying to scan the QR code to place our order little did we know this was never going to work why were we not told by the waitress who showed us to the table? So the so called manager (courtney standing in for Paul) comes over and asks if we are ready to order obviously we are not weve just spent 10mins trying to order through a website browser that doesn't exist so I said we would need more time she was very polite and she said she would come back. 15 mins later she reappears and we place our order to our suprise half the menu is missing all we can order is gammon, classic beef burgers and the some pub classics why did we not get told the first time she came over and by the waitress who showed us to our table and better than that the person we spoke to on the phone! I asked for a discount or 2 free drinks because of the inconvenience I was refused apparently looking after the customer doesnt exist anymore surely some business is better than non. If I knew when I phoned i would have gone elsewhere such a waste of time and effort. Shambles of a place to which I was told by the so called manager that it wasn't they're fault they ran out of food sorry didn't realise the food just appeared in the kitchen...

We decided to eat here after going to West Midlands Safari Park, as this pub offers 20% off food if you show a receipt for the Safair Park. We arrived a little early, so they got our table ready for us and we had a short 10 min wait for it, which was no big issue. We took the kids to the "play area", which wasn't much of a play area - it was a room with a few pay-for kids arcade machines, a couple of touchscreens that you could play games on, and a few bead maze toys. The touchscreens, to be fair, were pretty good and engaging for the kids, but the "play area" was a bit limited. Drinks orders were taken after a little while and the waitress said she'd take our food order "in a minute", about 15-20mins later, again she said she'd take our food order "in a minute". There was also some confusion as to which menu we could order from and we were told they'd run out of roast dinners by 3 or 4 o'clock on a Sunday. Eventually after being there for an hour and considering whether we should just leave, we begged a member of staff to take our food order, which they finally did. The food came out pretty fast after our order was taken and was pretty decent - nothing extra ordinary, just standard pub grub that I'd expect. They honoured our Safari Park receipts, which saved us a few quid.

Overall, a bit disappointed with the slow service, but they made up for it by bringing our food out fast. The play area could do with a bit...
